The $30 Million Diamond Bikini {Luxist}

Feb 20th 2006 12:49PM Molly Sims is certainly a breathtaking woman. The diamonds are certainly exquisitely valuable. Yet there is something very grotesque, almost obscene, about the picture and what it represents. A level of opulence in which a small percentage of the world can afford to spend 30 million dollars on something they can almost never use. Unfortunately, the media doesn't care. This is just another publicity stunt to sell more issues of S.I Swimsuit Edition. Although gratuitous insults to Ms. Sims' physique and personality are uncalled for, I think insults to the designer who would put such a ludicrous price tag on a dysfunctional swimsuit (wouldn't the diamonds make you sink like a stone?) are justified.
