Jan 2nd 2008 1:08PM You RPTV owners: don't worry about it. The technology works very well and I, for one, prefer the picture quality of my Sony 42' to the more two-dimensional images and artificially bright colors of the LCD sets I've seen.
People seem to prefer the shallow profile of the LCD and Plasma sets, but the RPTVs are fine for me. Enjoy your TVs.

Mar 21st 2007 1:31PM The reality is that in order to create a greener United States, the federal government is going to have to get involved in a BIG way, very much unlike the approach of the current administration (and every administration before it). While individual consumer efforts are laudable, without serious government subsidies for solar, wind and other sources of alternative energy, without increased taxes on gasoline at the pump, and without a large, government-mandated increase in fuel efficiency of all new cars sold in this country, we're basically just spitting into the wind.
