Are morning commuters using iPhones to listen to NPR? {TUAW.com}
Aug 20th 2010 10:57AM I walk about 30min to work and back -- and it's the only way I can listen! I've definitely been using it more now with Multitasking on iOS4, it used to freak me out that I could be missing emails.

Feb 19th 2010 12:26AM I got a Mimo 710-S a few months ago and it's awesome. I use it for iTunes or an extra file browser while I work during the day, and plug it into my HTPC as an external EQ display when night-hanging. Great brightness...but wouldn't use it for any graphics work, it has nasty gradient banding.

Jan 21st 2010 8:41PM @Dan Woods: sorry for the delay, AOL wouldn't connect so I tried to fire up Netscape 2 but my dial-up timed out and I think I'm getting close to my monthly limit.
Look, we're obviously all lovers of Apple and that's why we're here, at least that much we can agree upon. We all know what it's like to get into the ubiquitous mac v pc argument. Let's not start that kind of fight within our own ranks.
My point is that the flash platform is nowhere near irrelevant. It's certainly overused and misused just like anything else. Apple doesn't make the PC market irrelevant nor vice-versa. They each have their strengths and weaknesses. Flash is good for some things. For many things it's not. Flash has it's place and Adobe has been fighting to get Apple to open a section of their API so the can make it run more efficiently on Macs, and in this case, the onus is on Apple.
It's just not intellectually responsible, nor remotely true, to claim one platform is universally superior and one is wholly irrelevant. Thus ends my diatribe.
Now let's all go rest up for next Wednesday.

Jan 21st 2010 3:55PM Well well, Mr. Rawson, I'm going to go ahead and be the first to say 'shame on you, man.'
I'm as excited for HTML5 and the new CSS standards as any other web developer; it's going to be awesome. But HTML/CSS/JS/PHP etc are never going to replace a Flash/Flex app's ability to seamlessly blend a rich media front-end experience with AS3's ability to do the heavy lifting.
You're blatant disregard for the merits of the flash platform are irresponsible at best. If you'd like to be taken seriously as a journalist/blogger/writer, some attempt at even-handedness would be appreciated. If you would rather rant please do it elsewhere.
