Internet purchases soon to include sales tax {WalletPop}
Apr 20th 2009 7:03PM How about this...
Sales made via the web whether local or out of state, incur no tax liability. Therefore it would encourage merchants to sell online.
This will allow all merchants anywhere to be compettitive. If a customer doesn't want to pay taxes, but is ok with paying shipping charges, they can purchase online locally. Otherwise they can pay sales tax and not have to pay shipping charges.
As an internet merchant selling medical supplies. I can't fathom how they expect me to know what every states tax rate is and what is taxable and not taxable for each state. In MN where i reside, tax is not charged for diapers, so does that means I have to figure out what 49 other states do tax for these items?
Leave it to the government to make something so simple, so difficult...

Michigan and Florida Get Convention Votes Back {Politics Daily}
Aug 24th 2008 10:06PM In regards to the DNC smokescreen comment. As much as I think it's messed up that the DNC rules comm keeps changing their mind. That fact of the matter lies in that both Obama at Clinton agreed not to campaign in those states because they broke DNC rules by having early primaries. So as much as I'd like to feel bad for hillary, she broke her own word and campaigned anyway. So no matter how the rules comm broke it down, in the end, neither of them should have received the votes.
Regardless of their rulings, we are left with this outcome. There's no way we can vote Obama, what's the saying, you reflect you closest company? With his friends Aires, (tried to blow up the Pentagon) Rezko (a slew of felony charges) and Rev Wright, it doesn't seem the apple falls far from the tree. You can't sit in a church for 20 years that spews that reterick, and say you never heard it.
I still don't know who I'm voting for, but it's not Obama Bin Biden.
Michigan grad designs and builds Homeless Utility Vehicle {Autoblog Green}
Aug 22nd 2008 9:17PM I'm open to helping 'shelter a fmaily for a month or two. But beyond that, it's back to the carts. It's not governments job to fix lazy.
If you want to help the homeless, quit giving them money on the corners and at street lights and let them get a job. Too many times I hear of the homeless not wanting to participate in active society because the "good willed" people give them plenty of money to live off of.
Message to McCain: Pick a Pro-Choicer {Politics Daily}
Aug 20th 2008 12:39AM Bob Barr isn't that bad of a choice, kind of middle of the road when it comes to mcCain and Obama. Problem with him is he hired the wrong crew, as I hear roughly 3-5 months ago he was elected by the Libert. party. Yet I haven't heard sqaut about him since then.
his views are extrememly close to mine, but what good does that do if he doesn't put himself out there? Only thign i can find I don't like about him is he's not hard on immigration. But with the right VP, they could vice that.
Regardless, this whole picking from the lesser of two evils sucks. We've either got hot head McCain, Smooth Joe Camel Obama (as a cartoon character and at talking he's great, but what do you really get? A whole lot of the word change, but nothing to show for it)
My hopes is for one of these other parties to pick some big name that every knows that exactly has common sense and can take all of Obama and McCain votes...slim chance on that though, we're screwed no matter how we look at it.
With Obama we basically give away America as we know it to being taxed to death and being a bunch of pansies to other nations. With mcCain we mias well look forward to WW3. yippee
Message to McCain: Pick a Pro-Choicer {Politics Daily}
Aug 20th 2008 12:11AM I thought reporters were supposed to be non-biased, right down the middle. So what's with all the "we hope" and hinting that you want him to pick a pro choicer so as to erk the Republicans.
You are the exact reason people complain of the media being too liberal.
I myself haven't decided who to vote for. But i know the writer of this columns opinion is not needed thrown into the mix here and there. As your opinion doesn't mean anything to anybody but you.

Put those breasts away: Woman asked to cover up while breastfeeding during flight {Gadling}
Aug 11th 2008 7:54PM Why just for nursing? If you're not worried about people seeing your breasts, then all women should be free to expose them. Besides, after pregnancy the nipples are huge and nasty. I'd rather see them perky and not down to your belly button. but beggers can't be choosers
If you're baby gets full, save some for me and if you don't have a baby, I'm still game...
Crash survivors debate whether to eat the pilot {Gadling}
Jun 13th 2008 9:41PM Some firm believer you are, you even doubt your Lord in the same sentence you say you firmly believe he will save you.
I'm amazed at how any one persons "God" would save them, but has let go so many more deserving people. but hey, i guess my imaginary friend would save me too if it came down to it. he's the best
