Sep 22nd 2008 7:46PM Looks like the committee are the same 'with it folks' that nominate for Rock Album grammy awards as well
Jul 22nd 2008 6:48PM Dude, are you insane?
Oct 9th 2007 11:30AM Is Jesus getting a cut? Is he doing the commercials himself or is he getting a stand in? Was he paid in a buy out or residuals?
I remember when he was hired to endorse M&Ms but they fired him because they kept slipping through the holes in his hands.
Aug 17th 2007 8:44PM I don't like Matthews much but I have to defend him on this one. Shes leaning so far forward he desided to make a joke at her expense...a very inside joke (Like a radio joke about stepping on musoc and popping Pees) but I didn't see anything improper
Jul 31st 2007 9:46PM It doesn't say how old she is so I am keeping my comments to myself
Jul 10th 2007 7:03AM And if he ran as a Republican he'd get a PArdon too, just like Scooter
Jun 11th 2007 3:05PM why does the right always gravitate toward the most unqualified person in the field? Fred Thompson has about as much business being president as Miss Piggy. But if you elect him, that's what you're going to get...a lifeless entity with an unseen force up his butt feeding him what to say.
C'mon America, do we really need another mouth piece in the oval office?
Jun 1st 2007 4:43PM As a long time rabid football fan (I even watch reruns of the CFL games on WorldSport HD) I just hope that these guys know that they are in this for the longgggg haul and not just trying to cash in right away like McMahon did with the XFL. I watched the XFL. It got pretty good toward the end (the games) but the sideshow atmosphere of the broadcast with Jesse Ventura and the Hot Tubbing models in the end zone killed the chances of the league being taken seriously. However, the steady cams on the field and the players nicknames on Jerseys were nice touches although I thought the steady cams were a bit overused. I don't want to be in every huddle...but one or two per quarter is fun.
Bonus? Mark Cuban can take a cut on broadcast rights on his HDNET stations if need be thus assuring extended television time if weak initial rating and NFL pressure force other cable companies out of the UFL market.
Added Bonus: With Millions of users everyday turning to Google, that is instant advertising power that rivals the NFL having it's own network. And a banner on every search page in America is a lot more cost effective than your own 2nd rate (there I said it) cable network.
Added Bonus: So far, the people involved have really serious money to invest in the long haul.
Drawback: All these guys are used to fairly quick returns on their investments
I'll watch it, no doubt. Hell I'll watch NFL Europe
Mar 14th 2007 5:26PM What Ann Coulter did was slander and slander is not protected speech.
I am pleased to see that the US is finally starting to recognize that OPINION is not NEWS. Ann Coulter is not a journalist. She is a commentator. I personally listen to Randi Rhodes on AirAmerica every chance I get. But as well researched as she is I don't mistake her as a journalist. Funny. Yes. Entertaining. Yes. Thought-provoking. Totally. But a left wing commentator all the same.
Make no mistake. Editorial writers are accountable for their opinions and can be dropped/fired by their employers. Maybe this will put a stop to the constant name calling and intimidation on both sides and we can concentrate on the issues facing this nation right now.
