Irish Corned Beef and Cabbage: Recipe of the Day {Slashfood}
Mar 18th 2011 1:57AM Sorry, but only the corned beef round for me. I can't deal with all the fat and inedibleparts that are part of the brisket.
Kanye West Denied Entry to Shows at Paris Fashion Week {The Boombox}
Mar 12th 2011 1:37AM " A rep later denied the story." - Which story? There are several stories here, ranging from his being turned away from some events, to being allowed in to others, to his plan to get a Master's Degree in Fashion. I really, really, REALLY wish that AOL would consider discontinuing its longtime policy of using neither editors nor proofreaders!
Cockpit Chronicles: Six surreal sights seen by pilots {Gadling}
Mar 12th 2011 12:44AM A couple of times, here in Vermont, I have seen Northern Lights displays that were so amazing that I wanted to awaken the whole town and call all of my friends and relatives to head outside and catch the shows. Simply fantastic! God is a Great Artist!
How I Got Here: An Interview with Rachel Sterne, Chief Digital Officer of New York City {MyDaily}
Mar 9th 2011 3:43AM I don't know why Emily Tan felt it necessary to inform the readers that Miss Sterne was bred in New York. Some information, if it has nothing to do with the story, should be withheld out of common courtesy and decency. Let this be a lesson to you, Emily!
Virgin Blue Admits Toddler Was Put in Overhead Bin {AOL Travel News}
Mar 6th 2011 9:29PM This woman is insane! I hope the judge awards her one dollar and the obligation to pay all court costs, and lawyers' fees for both sides! - The airline was wrong for terminating the attendant. - Am I the only one who is bothered by the fact that Libby Zay and AOL felt the need to use the word "male" before "flight attendant?" What possible reason could there be (outside of sexism!) for identifying him that way? What's wrong with just saying "Virgin Blue has fired a flight attendant....?"
Aura Cacia Clearing Foam Bath for Kids {ParentDish}
Feb 26th 2011 2:58AM Why waste all that money on bubble bath? It sounds like this article was written by the manufacturer, or someone getting paid to provide a very narrow "opinion." - Keep a box of honeycomb in the fridge - when the child gets a stuffy head, give him some to chew on. Not only is iteffective, but the kids love it, and it's a good, safe,food for them.
Biggest Grocery Store Markups: The Worst Deals in the Aisles {WalletPop}
Feb 21st 2011 12:01AM If you buy an item for $1.00, and sell it for $2.00, you have a 100% markup. If you sell it for $41.00, you have made forty times that amount. Forty times 100% = 4,000%. Get it?

Feb 20th 2011 11:48PM Sorr,"jim,"but you are very, very wrong! Aside from short-lived things such as produce and bread, There's a lot of money to be saved by stocking up. I am single and live alone,and save a LOT of money this way. Budget $20-40 per week to stock up on sale items. If you buy ten jars of peanut butter or ten pounds of hamburg, at $1.99 each, your $19.90 investment will save you (depending on brand) $10-15. If they last you a year, you will save 40-50% on your one-year investment. If they only last six months, your profit (equivalent of Annual Interest Rate at a bank) doubles! You can't do that in a bank or in the stock market! Your only limits are the shelf life/freezer life of the item involved.
