James Woods Takes Hospital to Court in Brother's Death {PopEater}

Nov 10th 2009 11:16PM I was a widow of 9 months and living alone when about 10pm I noticed the muscles between both shoulders ached. I thought it was from hanging curtains day before. I took 2 aspirin and called a friend who had had a heart attack years before. I was 53 at the time. All night I would sleep an hour or 2 and wake and call Mary and take 2 aspirin and two lorazepam and sleep again and repeated this until 5am when I knew & she did also that it must be a heart attack. Called 911, they came in 4 minutes and to Norwood Hospital, Norwood, Massachusetts in 5 minutes. Directly into special part of ER. Wonderful Dr, Dr Dillon asked me all the questions, first of which where is you pain on a scale of 1 to 10. I said 10!! they took xray hooked me up to an IV dispensing whatever and they were all so wonderful to me I think of their faces all my days. They saw a clot in my heart artery and gave me TPA,the clot busting drug and within a matter of minutes it began to work. Dr Dillon asked my pain scale and I said 7 and then 4 and THEN NOTHING. The pain was completely gone. They took me to ICU where I remained with wonderful care and monitoring for 3 days and then to step-down unit to start 6 more days of recovery. The food was wonderful, the nurses were fabulous, the treatment I received there was just incredibly wonderful. They saved my life and then treated me like gold until I was ready to leave on September 19, 1997. I cry whenever I think of that time. The skill, the kindness, the attentiveness, everything was truly amazingly wonderful. I am forever grateful to all of them, but especially to my nurse and Dr Gerard Dillon who I will remember all my life. It is 13 years later and I am 66, and faithfully take my medications everyday and am doing fine. Janet Gartland, Massachusetts

Patrick Swayze Loses His Battle With Cancer at 57 {PopEater}

Sep 15th 2009 5:51AM Patrick Swayze was first of all a wonderful person. He was also a talented actor and a fabulous dancer. A very handsome and sexy man, he was still so grounded and seemed to have a wonderful marriage. I have a deep respect and admiration for the way he lived his life. My heart aches because we will miss him. We need good people like he was. My thoughts and prayers are with him and also for his lovely wife and his entire family and friends. He gave us a part of the wonderful man that he was. Janet G.

Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly Party With Barbie {Asylum}

Jul 16th 2009 11:45PM I listen to Bill O'Reilly every night and find him to be intelligent, quick thinking, funny and maddening. That's why I enjoy him so much. He is never boring. He has an opinion about almost everything and many times I agree with his opinion. When I don't I enjoy seeing him stick to his guns anyway. Most chats and blogs today are filled with dummies. They can't spell, can't express themselves, are rude and disgusting with the things they say and their language is revolting. So please watch O'Reilly and get smart!!! Don't be a Pinhead.

Merv Griffin Pulls His Horse From Kentucky Derby {Fanhouse Backporch}

May 5th 2007 7:48PM Merv is very much alive and kicking. We all should have such energy at his age. I watched his daily talk show for years and my Uncle Joseph Caswell Huestis and his wife Anna were best friends of Merv's parent many years ago in California. He was wise to pull Cobalt Blue out of race. Congrats to Street Sense and his Jockey and trainer and owner.

Britney Spears Is Bald {AOL Video Blog}

Feb 23rd 2007 12:32AM I really dont like the behavior of this kid. She has many young girls who think she's the greatest and they are going to try to emulate her. Such a terrible role model. She needs that Rehab and then to get her head on straight and realize she has alot of young fans who may be effected by the absurdity of her behavior. Drink, Drink, Drink, vomit, wear no underwear, shave your head, get a tatoo. I have a 14 yr old grandaughter, she is beyond the Brittany Spears phase, but many younger girls watch her every move. This country is going to h ll in a handbasket. Adults must take back control if possible???, and direct our kids toward having decent morals and be there for them. So much bad things in society today. We need the money going to Iraq to use to clean up our own backyard. We have very serious drug and alcohol problems here, and also the bad behavior and violence and depression that goes with it. Parents need a venue to band together and take hold and love and guide our children so they will have a good life and a worthwhile future. So much to be done, so much need. Our children and grandchildren are our future. What will their lives be like. I pray for them each night. JG
