Photo Of The Day: Guatemalan Ice Cream Truck {Gadling}
Jun 8th 2013 10:16PM Say what you will about the appearance of that ice-cream wagon but the
ones that cruised my Miami, FL neighborhood in the 50's looked almost
like it. They were large insulated boxes fitted with two big wheels on the sides
and the rear half of a bicycle attached for locomotion. A row of bells
hung from the handle bar so the vender could announce his presence
while steering the contraption. The vender started the morning with a
layer of dry ice on the bottom and packed his different varieties of
ice-cream and popsicle on top. Cleanliness? Well, the ice-cream came
wrapped in paper or in paper cups with covers, remember the small flat wooden
spoons? If it was near the end of a hot day on a long route the vender
might have dripped some sweat on them. Ugh.

Ariel Castro's Cleveland Home Becomes a 'Tourist Destination' {AOL Real Estate}

Hurricane Sandy Victims' Electric Bills Show Charges for Power Despite Blackout {AOL Real Estate}
Nov 27th 2012 5:18PM I understand his anger. But utility companies haven't read meters every month since the 1950's. They read them manually every so many months and in between just use an average accrued during the previous several months unles the bill is questioned by the user. He will be much better off using good people skills instead of showing up at the utility office or calling them with in a furious manner
