Taco Bell's New Pacific Shrimp Reviewed {Slashfood}
Mar 22nd 2011 9:03AM I thought the Pacific Shrimp Taco's were pretty good. I've had them 2x now. Oh, I'm not a paid actor or any of that crap either... I'll be a little bummed when they're no longer a option. (figure all the pacific shrimp will be glowing pretty soon!)
Walmart Losing Business, Looks to Retool {WalletPop}
Feb 22nd 2011 6:40PM WM's selection is getting smaller and smaller... We used to leave with a full cart of 'crap' and head home... now we have to whip by Kroger the next day to grab the items WM no longer carries. Guess they didn't move 8.7gahjillion Neopolitan Ice Cream sandwiches... thank goodness Kroger is willing to stock some slower moving products. I'm willing to pay the coin to keep the kids happy. Getting to where I'm visiting more and more stores to fill in the holes WM used to fill.
The cashiers at WM almost never say "Did you find everything you were looking for?" because I'm always ready to tell them "No, in fact I didn't!"
Video: This is not how you make a Ferrari F150 {Autoblog}
Feb 1st 2011 7:06AM Looks like the truck was making a left turn out of business and the Ferrari swerved to avoid him... and still got run over... People do this all the time, glance left, then look right as they are cross the oncoming left hand traffic. I was following a trooper once and a dude in a 4door dually pickup pulled out right in front of a storming oncoming suburban, while he was looking straight at the trooper. That impact was huge! The troopers car nearly got hit with debri he was so close. This situation looks identical instead the suburban was a Ferrari and lost!
Moms and Drinking: Secret After-Hour Addictions of Working Mothers {ParentDish}
Nov 1st 2010 12:22AM All of my wifes friends who work, come home and drink to numb the pressure they put on themselves. ALL of them. She has gone to church based alcohol programs with 2 of them, because they were too freaked to go alone, yet knew they had a problem.
'The Twisted Sisterhood' -- The Dark Side of Female Friendship Explored {Lemondrop}
Oct 25th 2010 9:52PM Me and guys at work agree, women are vicious. Our wives say vile things to people they proclaim to love that we simply can't fathom saying, even to people we dislike. They say and do things that simply cause most guys heads to reel with disbelief. I don't know why we're shocked though... almost all the TV my wife (and most women) watch is about relationship conflict. Desperate Housewives, soap operas in general... all they show is conflict, backstabbing, and argument after argument.
Ask the AKC Animal Behaviorist - My Dog Pulls Too Hard on His Leash {Pawnation OLD}
Jun 22nd 2010 6:24PM
I agree, a pinch collar teaches a dog quickly, and without real drama... One or two little pinches from that collar and they learn that 'driving forward' isn't any fun at all... I've used them before on rowdy dogs who'd pull on a choke chain till they were about to pass out... put a pinch collar on and within as few as two self induced yank/pinches and they learned to dial it back and became excellent behaved pets on the leash.
Most owners are too lazy to use techniques that require the owner to be persistant and consistant. An tool like a pinch collar is perfect for lots of people... the owner just need to know they can't use it to 'control' the dog... yanking them around by it is uncool and totally unnecessary.
An 'Incredible Future' Ends Needlessly {Fanhouse - Kevin Blackistone}
Apr 5th 2010 9:41AM I lived in Europe as a teen for a few years... learned drinking isn't such a big deal.
Here in the USA we glorify the hell out of it... making it some sort of holy grail only adults can do and enjoy... no wonder teens and college students literally die to do it in excess.
Dave Grohl Caffeine Overdose Was No Joke {Spinner}
Mar 25th 2010 10:11AM I was working a at factory years ago... 12hour shifts. A kid we worked with stayed up the whole 12 hours we were off, so when he came back and knew he had to stay up for 12 more, he popped some of those caffeine pills they sell at convienence stores at the beginning of the shift. Less than an hour later he was on the floor with dry heaves, breaking out in hives and totally screwed up! He went to the hospital in a Ambulance!
Walmart and Detroit Schools Team Up To Teach {AOL Jobs}
Feb 21st 2010 9:17PM I worked at a WalMart in college... watching the ridiculous hours assistant managers put in... for minimal pay (imho) and absolutely no loyalty from the company... minor screw up one evening with a employee or customer... get the hell out and go work at Target or Lowes was their position... it definitely pushed me to scratch 'retail' off the list of potential jobs post graduation.
This program should open the eyes of a lot of kids and get them 'scared straight'!!!
