Mar 20th 2012 5:15PM There is always a way to strike back..you just need a creative and vindictive lawyer. True Story: My client bought some lake front property to live on--10 acre wooded lot. A neighbor bought the adjoining cabin and let his crazy son and friends use it every weekend for wild parties and shooting off fireworks. In the summer it went on for days. There was no county ordinance against the noise, the fireworks, or the disturbance. There was also no ordinance against my client having livestock..so I had him put a hog pen right on the fence line next to the neighbors house. Ever smell a hog pen? In less then a month, we reached a quick agreement with the adjoining neighbor who was glad for the pen to be removed so he could sell his property.

Dec 7th 2011 2:45PM No lives were in danger. It was a mobile home. The idiots not only did not pay for fire dept protection, but carried no insurance on the mobile home. Now what does that tell you? And if you want to call the fire fighters Republicans, well, I can say the Democrats would have rolled up, done it for free, tacked on the bill to the rest of us, and put them into a three hundered thousand dollar home with no money down and a rent subsidy check with food stamps.

Dec 7th 2011 2:39PM You people need to get a reality check. I lived out in the country and had to pay $125 a year for fire dept protection plus my homeowners insurance. The small fire department struggled yearly to raise money to buy equipment and send its volunteers for training. Do you think it fair for someone to ride free for years and then when they have a fire, ask the truck to roll up, accept their $125 check (In this case it was $75) and then suddenly become members. You note, these people also did not carry insurance on their home...what does that tell you? Bet they always had money for a six pack or night out on the town.
If you allowed that, there would be no membership support meaning no department, no equipment, and no trained fire fighters. So pack up your bleeding hearts---if you feel that strongly about it, go out into the communities and pay the memberships of those who don't think it important enough until it is to late.

No one seems upset at the proposals to stop flying American flags at public schools because it is "offensive' to some groups. Frankly I don't care anymore. This country is going to need to be knocked to its knees in either an economic disaster or a military humiliation to wake it up. Those of us who lived through the 40's can see the decline...the younger generations can not.

May 16th 2011 4:09PM Richard Fields who was a winner on one of the earlier survivor shows summed it up when he said it was a game designed where you had to cheat, lie, and stab each other in the back to win. He was right....these contestants who talk about being moral, loyal, and betrayal just don't get it...the challenges are just a part of the game....manipulation, alliances, switching sides and voting off strong contestants make it Survivor. These are people you love to hate--but keep watching them. Boston Rob had power because the others gave it to him..they were to stupid to realize he would eliminate them in time.
