Obese passenger forces neighbor on US Airways flight to stand for 7 hours {Gadling}
Nov 23rd 2011 10:32PM The passenger who takes up more than his seat on a full flight should either stand themselves or wait for a later flight; in no case should someone else have to stand to accomodate them. This should be handled by the airlines. I would file a lawsuit to get my money back, and compensation for my discomfort. When you buy a seat, you should get a seat. As in one, not yours plus someone else's so they are put out. Any customer not upfront about their need for two seats should have to buy that extra seat if one is open, or wait for the next flight where one is.
