iPod/iPhone firmware update 1.1.4 released {TUAW.com}
Feb 26th 2008 4:50PM I would also like to know if Bluetooth is working better in 1.1.4. When I had 1.1.2, my iPhone worked perfectly with my old Jabra BT500. It was awesome.
When I upgraded to 1.1.3, I experienced occasional (though not persistent) difficulty with discovery & associating -- not enough to preclude the association, but enough to be annoying. Fortunately, discovery is an infrequent operation. I've read that this was a known issue, though from what I read, it was IMPOSSIBLE for successful discovery -- this was not my experience.
For me, what was worse in 1.1.3 was the bad static in my Jabra earpiece. It was the same effect as moving the iPhone and BT500 too far away -- static. However, this occured unless I had my iPhone literally inches from my earpiece. I tried a full recharge cycle of the BT500, resetting my phone, re-discovery etc. Nothing fixed it. I'm 99% sure this is related to 1.1.3 update.
