You are in the game even if you wish not to play, so you'd better learn the rules. DO NOT be a typical CONSUMER. A 30 year mortgage is a banker trick that our parents fell for. Every banker knows that at some point in a 30 year mortgage, (or even a 15 year,) that the "homeowner" will have some tough breaks in finances. Why do you think the loans are front-end loaded with interest? The banks win, even if the consumer defaults due to re-insurance by Fannie/Freddie.
Buy a small plot of land, and build your own home...DEBT FREE! Start small and add on as finances permit. Learn to grow food and store for hard times. At 16 TRILLION in National debt, we WILL become like Greece, and there will be no CHINA large enough to bail us out. Lock and load to prepare for "Zombies." (You think this is just entertainment?) Let our Federal Government miss just one "first of the month" check, and you'll see rioting and lawlessness in our major cities that will overwhelm law enforcement. Teach your children to prepare. This is France. 1787. Tired of hearing our leaders say..."Let them eat cake?"

Sep 9th 2012 6:10PM NEVER...will I finance another house. I will buy a small plot of land, and build my home. In many small towns across the country, you can buy an acre for less than 10k, and can build a small house for around 15k...and add onto it as finances permit. When you're ready to sell, you'll have tremendous equity that will make you the envy of the neighbors! My advice to all young couples: Rent until you can find some land to build. Put a construction trailer on this land and live there until you finish the permanent structure. Do you really trust some Bank of America with their thumb over you for 30 years? Not me.

Nov 1st 2011 9:30PM ..exactly. Fannie and Freddie are no better, and WORSE, when you consider the dollar amount involved at The Federal level. Former Fannie Mae CEO, Frank Raines, walked away with a cool 14.2 million dollar payout...for bankrupting Fannie/Freddie! He was above questioning or reproach, because he was the first black CEO of a Fortune 500 company. Sorry, dude. No more passes.
When Raines, along with Chris Dodd, and Congressman Barney Frank, are made to face trial for their part in the housing bubble...then I will believe we are serious about preventing the next financial crime against humanity. Allieds' Hodge is just a small part in this fiasco.

The only reason to "Come out," is to sell a book, and perhaps use the new found publicity to land a better job..with a real network. If you define yourself by your sexual preference, you have an identity issue. Who you sleep with is of zero concern to most of us.
