Obama Finger Food, With Curry Sauce and a Side of Racism {Blackvoices Main}
Mar 18th 2009 12:26PM Well duh. What idiot thought this would be a good product idea? This is the most obvious stereotyping faux pas I've seen in a long time. It is really hard to imagine that this wasn't intentional, just because it is such a stupid "oversight". And FYI, I am a white southern boy who voted for Obama.
A New Look For Hearts and Flowers {Luxist}

Actually, If you squint your eyes it kind of looks like a bagpipe.
Romney Steps Down. McCain Wins! {Politics Daily}
Feb 8th 2008 2:10PM This has certainly been an exciting race...it's almost like watching a reality show where contestants get voted off every week.
I get frustrated with politics normally because the candidates will generally invest in some platform which doesn't represent my needs...ften the platforms go against my own needs and priorities. I am often given to wonder why a candidate will pick a divisive issue and take a particular side. It practically alienates half the population from them.
I'm more given to support a candidate who can see both sides of an issue, because they're more likely to try for a compromise so that more people can benefit. Because of that, I prefer candidates who are willing to change their minds on issues - it shows that they are thinking people. The ones who always stick to the same side of an issue are not likely to represent Americans who may identify the other side of the issue.
The other thing is, I identify with candidates who pick platforms in which all Americans would benefit. The biggest one I see is health care reform. I don't have company health insurance, so I have to pay out of pocket for private health insurance using very small part-time wages. This means I have no money to spend - so I am not contributing to the economy. So this issue is important to me to resolve above any other. I also think this issue affects most Americans.
Because of these things, I feel Clinton is the right candidate for me. I'm unaffiliated by choice, but this year I am planning to vote for Clinton because she is most likely to put health care first (which helps me) and she seems to be willing to see both sides of many issues (which helps more people identify with her).
I'm not suggesting to anyone here who to vote for - everyone's got their own issues. Just felt like putting my thoughts down.
Cinematical Seven: Most Overrated Actors {Cinematical}
Apr 24th 2007 8:27AM Interesting - though my personal list would have been Bill Pullman (unbelievable in dramatic roles), Nicolas Cage (no facial expression whatsoever), Jim Carrey (great dramatic actor but the comedy is just irritating), Ben Affleck (no expression whatsoever), Charlie Sheen (affected).
American Idol: Memphis auditions {AOL TV}
Jan 24th 2007 10:49AM Oops! I meant Sundance, Melinda and Sean....no Danielle or Phil; Sundance and PHIL need a trim. Phil would look really handsome with a shorter beard.
American Idol: Memphis auditions {AOL TV}
Jan 24th 2007 10:45AM Sounds like the judges are making less caustic comments, but they seem to be more picky than ever this year. I actually thought the "Frank n Beans" guy was good enough to go through to Hollywood but perhaps he didn't have a special "look" they were going for. My picks for final 12 out of this group are Sundance, Sean, Melinda...but no Danielle or Phil.
Sundance and Phil just need to trim their beards a LOT and they'll have the right look, I think. Melinda is going to go far!
