Further, their 'rules' are so often written by, and ENFORCED by, the very same people, elected year after year, and who are so often simply uneducated, even STUPID, as they work hard, and inexpertly, at lording it over the rest of us. Often, and embarrassingly, they don't even know how to run a meeting, never having heard of Robert's Rules.

Dec 13th 2011 4:22PM The 'Deed Restrictions' of all homeowners' associations are nothing more than the old 'Restrictive Covenants'; racist documents that were outlawed many years ago because they named specific ethnic, religious and/or racial groups to whom homeowners nor realtors were to sell to. The homeowners' associations, especially here in FL, as heinous, totally inconsiderate and senseless as they ALL are, have been mindlessly upheld here and in several states by a like-minded judiciary when they have been challenged in the court systems.
