Parents Upset After School Yearbook Lists George W. Bush, Dick Cheney as Worst People of All Time {ParentDish}
Jun 2nd 2011 9:32PM If the yearbook had printed a list saying that Barack Obama was the worst person of all time, this story would be about the racism of this Southern high school. There would be hundreds of postings blaming the racism on Fox News and evil Christian Republicans.
Outrageously Expensive Socks by Rodarte {Luxist}

#WorstMovieEver .... According to Our Facebook Fans {Moviefone Blog}
Feb 7th 2010 4:18PM I never saw "Batman and Robin", so I cannot judge its worthiness as the worst movie. About the worst thing I have ever seen is "Showgirls." The story and the acting are terrible, but it does have gratuitous nudity, which has a certain entertainment value. Actually, the worst thing I have ever seen (and I only saw about five minutes, which seemed like an hour too much) is the broadcast TV version of "Showgirls." Someone airbrushed bras and panties over all the naked women, thus removing the only mildly interesting part of the movie.
Expired Lyrics: Joan Jett {Spinner}
Nov 30th 2009 1:42PM You could also include The Turtles' "Happy Together." The line "Call me up, invest a dime" is doubly outdated. Pay phones are a dying species, and if you find one, you have to pay a quarter or fifty cents to make a call. It's still a fun song, though.
Did Ballentine Just Call Williams an Uncle Tom? {BV Black Spin}
Oct 22nd 2009 7:28PM The real trouble is that there are too many black "leaders" who cannot fathom a black person with an alternate opinion. Any black person who does not think like a black person is allegedly supposed to think is condemned as an "Uncle Tom." For the life of me, I cannot understand this. So many people sacrificed so black people could have equal rights, and today's leaders try to deny these rights. Freedom of speech applies to all people. Do not try to paint black people into a corner and tell them how they have to think to be authentically black.
PepsiCo draws conservative ire for backing gay rights {WalletPop}
Oct 11th 2009 5:43PM Please do not call the AFA conservatives. Call them by a more appropriate adjective: lunatics. A true conservative has more important things to worry about than Pepsi.
A few people here write they will now buy more Pepsi products. Why? What does that prove? You won't change the minds of the AFA idiots, and you will not hurt them in any way. Let them boycott Pepsi. If they want to waste their time being stupid, you should let them. After all, they have just as much right to be stupid as anyone else. Liberal activist types seem to forget that freedom of speech applies to all, not just those who follow a certain orthodoxy.
Arizona GOP Runs Doctored Cigarette Photo of President Obama {Politics Daily}
Aug 11th 2009 9:35PM It is disturbing when dissent is confused with racism. There are, no doubt, some racists who hate Obama simply because he is black. These people are contemptable and should be condemned. But there are many, many more people who fairly and honestly disagree with Obama. He is not infallable and we are free to disagree with him if we think he is wrong. Too many Democrats compare the people who speak out against the Health Care Bill to Nazis and KKK members. Remember the First Amendment and its guarantee of Freedom of Speech. It is sacred to far left Liberals when their goons disrupt speeches by conservatives, but is apparently irrelevent when regular people try to express an opinion. It is time for traditionalists to take back America. We have the right to be heard and the government cannot stop us with name calling and imagined racism.
There are indeed troubles with the health care system and some changes can and should be made, but forcing a plan down our throats and condemning those who disagree - or even try to get more information - will backfire on the Democrats. If they don't change their tactics, the Republicans will retake Congress in 2010 and the White House in 2012.
Will Harry Reid Stand in the Senate House Door to Keep Burris Out? {Politics Daily}
Dec 31st 2008 4:22PM I live in New York. For eight years, we have had one senator - the excellent Charles Schumer - and one self-promoting carpetbagger - Hillary Clinton. Senator Clinton has not done anything for the state of New York. She gets her name in the headlines, speaks out on all the right issues, and shows the world she is extremely intelligent and capable (and will probably be a fine Secretary of State), but she does nothing for the people she supposedly represents. I do not always agree with Schumer, but I will always vote for him because I know he will fight like a pitbull for the people of my state.
Since Clinton is moving on to Secretary of State, our Governor Patterson has to select a new junior senator. One of the leading candidates is Carolyn Kennedy. Her main qualification for this position - and she barely denies this - is her family tree. It is scandalous that a seat in the Senate could be given to a person because her father was President and her uncles were Senators. If John Kennedy, Jr. were alive, it would likely be him up for this appointment, and he would be just as unqualified as his sister. We need good people in the Senate, not people who come from the right family.
Will Harry Reid Stand in the Senate House Door to Keep Burris Out? {Politics Daily}
Dec 31st 2008 3:58PM I hate to defend Blogojovich, especially when he and his minions disgustingly play the race card, saying that we should not lynch Ronald Burris, but I think that as governor, he has the right to appoint whoever he chooses, as long as that person meets the Constitutional requirements to be a senator. Burris is over thirty years old, lives in Illinois, and is an American citizen. I do not think that Harry Reid has the legal right to block him from sitting in the Senate. I know nothing of Mr. Burris - I had never heard his name before yesterday - but it seems that everyone who knows him thinks he is a good honest man. What strikes me is why this good honest man would accept an appointment that would look tainted. Someone here sugested that Burris resign the seat. That may be the best idea. Let Illinois settle their present scandal, let Blogojovich be impeached, and determine who the next senator from Illinois will be after the trial, however it turns out.
Sean Burnett Has a Kid, Gets Cut {Fanhouse MLB Blog}
Mar 29th 2008 11:21AM It seems as if only one or two people are putting this story into the proper perspective. Sean Burnett's wife had a baby and he was put on wavers by the Pirates. One has nothing to do with the other. Should the Pirates have kept him on the major league roster just because he was a new father? He did not make the team. Unless the team cut him because he asked for a day or two off to be with his wife as she gave birth, the birth had nothing to do with him not making the team. And if he goes to the Pirates' minor league camp and continues his injury rehab, then he will probably be back with the team as soon as he is able. Stop trying to make news where there is none.
