Family Faces Eviction Over Toddler's Noise {AOL Real Estate}
Feb 1st 2012 8:26PM This is sad indeed. Two-year olds are noisy, and it will pass. Unfortunately, this couple probably lives next to someone single or without children with very acute hearing, either that or they sit with a glass to the wall. If I were this couple, I'd tack cork up all over the adjoining walls, maybe double thickness with padding between, to drown out the sound. This would be easily removed when they leave.
Karen Perry Loses Three Kids, Ex-Husband and Now Home? {AOL Real Estate}
Feb 1st 2012 6:54PM I used to work for HUD during the oil crises of the 1980s. If I learned anything, a house is a house. It is the people that make it a home. It's not a shrine, it's a bunch of mortar and sticks so let it go. Take your memories with you. Your children's memories will go with you. It doesn't sound like she needs the added burden of keeping up such a big place, especially for one person.
It Happened Last Night: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen at the CFDA Awards {Stylelist}
Jun 7th 2011 2:07PM Someone tell the twins to tone down the black liner,,maybe soft brown. They look harsh and haggard with the heavy black. The clothes are trendy and more grown up.
How Old Is Too Old to Wear a Miniskirt? {Stylelist}
May 13th 2011 11:31PM It continues to amaze me so many women think they look good in short dresses, stiletto heels and low cut dresses/shirts/blouses when they are over 50/60. You actually go to your closet and say "Wow, I'll look hot in this!"..Not going to happen, sorry, no way. At some point, it's just plain considerate to cover up those aging legs, crepy necks and clevage, and ugly feet. If you've spent a lifetime in the sun, make that 50!! I'm 65, and I wonder when I see women my age with heavy makeup and inappropriate clothes what could they possible be thinking when they put those things on. There really is something to the adage 'grow old gracefully'. You don't have to grow old, but it might be a good time to grow up.
Miley Cyrus Flaunts Bikini Bod (Photo) {PopEater}
May 13th 2011 11:28AM yada yada yada. She's a kid, and they should have firm trim bodies, with an actual waistline. Wait until she's had kids and has to shell out mega bucks for the personal trainers...Better still, let me see her bikini body at 60! Quit stating the obvious.
Robert Lucas of 'The Doctors' Investigated By California Medical Board {PopEater}
Apr 4th 2011 5:36PM Gee, just maybe he cleaned up his act. Doesn't California have enough to do without a smear campaign. A lot of doctors drink, a lot of doctors get drunk. A lot of doctors abuse something, even their wives and children, but they still practice. The only thing wrong with the DUI punishment system, is the sytem itself. It's not teaching anyone the error of their ways.

Let Go of Being the Perfect Mom With the Perfect Life {ParentDish}
Mar 3rd 2011 11:44AM you don't need a lot of money for perfect kids, an always clean house, perfect grades, etc, it's about relaxing and enjoying the day and your children. You know what my 37 year old son remembers about junior high school? I was sometimes home and sometimes not when he got home from school, but I always had a snack prepared with his name on it. It was always there waiting..peanut butter and crackers, cookies, sandwich, something. Some way or another I always remembered something. I never dreamed something so seemingly insignificant would be the one thing he remembered so well.
Let Go of Being the Perfect Mom With the Perfect Life {ParentDish}
Mar 3rd 2011 11:37AM I didn't learn the importance of NOT being perfect until my daughter was in 6th grade. It cooincided with flipping a car over on an icy road with a friend and three children in the back seats. We had no injuries, but the traumatic event had be re-evaluating my life. I decided family and friends were more important. No longer did I care if a bed got made (and I still don't 30 years later), I'll drop everything at a moment's notice to babysit, or go to a movie, or go out to dinner..even if food is thawed for dinner. The more relaxed me was certainly well worth it when something serious did happen, and parties were the most fun when the house wasn't spotless. Of course, you don't want to live in a dump, but remember, your constant desire to have clean and perfect wears on your kids and your husband. I only had one rule..the kids were to keep their toys in their rooms, and only one toy/project at a time in the rest of the house. And it was put away or else. They lost a couple of things early on, but from then on easy peasy. I kept the doors to their rooms closed so clutter wouldn't spill out into the hallway. :)
