The G1 Glass Pool Table {Luxist}
Feb 27th 2009 1:28AM Exactly what I was thinking jcr. Don't know about you but the only time I ever play pool is when i'm having a few drinks. It's a good laugh but I need all the help I can to see those balls and where I want them to go clearly. This is no good at all for my kind of game.

In order to fully appreciate the finer things in life and to really see the detail in all it's glory, you do in fact have to look into things more closely. That's how we educate ourselves. I would say my assumption was and is completely justified.

Feb 24th 2009 4:22AM No restraint whatsoever. That, to my mind, is tacky and gaudy. There is so much to be said for understated elegance and true refinement.

Feb 24th 2009 4:16AM Oh Bill. It's all in the details. You have to look past the immediately obvious and go beyond.

An interesting take on a woman that is consistently turned out in some of the most classic, beautifully cut and impeccably fine clothing.
Don't confuse her everyday style with her performance pieces. Her onstage style is exactly that, for performance and entertainment. And nobody does it better or bigger.

Dec 22nd 2008 11:06PM I'll take one of the Wally supers any day. It's a very innovative, spectacular design but it just seems there is too much going on in the way of gimmicks. The whale reference. The fish reference. Too much.
I guess I prefer more understated and less obvious design references. Aside form that, some of its lines are gorgeous.

Dec 17th 2008 1:01AM I don't think people should necessarily embrace this look but I do believe people should embrace their own individual style and bring that into their own spaces. Mediocrity seems to be so common place in peoples homes. Settling for what others have is such a monumental cop out with no real individual style and no differentiating aesthetics. NO THANKS. This is a fantastic home and worthy of EotD.
Luxury Barrels For Aging Wine {Luxist}
Dec 13th 2008 1:16AM This would have been great without the stopper novelty. It just completely ruins it for me. It's like someone belts me over the head when I hear Swarovski encrusted blah blah blah. Are we not over this yet? It's become very stale and not particularly special at all. Remarkably boring actually. Apart from that, it appears to be a very nice barrel. I could see Hermes doing a nice one too with it's signature orange leather. I'm sure the cost would be astronomical though. A nice idea nonetheless.
