Jul 28th 2010 9:22AM according to past store brand comparisons shows I've viewed, many/most so called "store brands" are produced right alongside the brand names in the same factory...this helps boost revenues for the brand name maker. They just use different packaging. In other words many times you are literally paying for the actual "brand name packaging" as the products inside are truly identical ( but your mind tells you the brand name taste better...)

May 13th 2010 2:41PM Viet vet here, and I believe many other vets feel the same way. When returning from Vietnam, they told us not to wear our uniforms home, because of all the protests. I'm still being refused disability for the type cancer I developed after Vietnam (agent orange), by the VA. Yes, they want you in and want you to obey all the military rules, then after your service commitment is up, they tend to treat you like welfare recipients. If only Americans were forced to serve military time like the Israelis, I think they would quickly begin to realize and appreciate the military, especially those in the military that pay the ultimate price for freedom…

But the fact remains, if the service is bad, you might get a bad tip, if the service is good you might get a good tip. Just remember, one persons idea of what's good service vs. what is bad service can be as different as different as night and day. Some customers are snobs, and treat everyone with distain, believing the common folk are there to admire and bow down to them. Some servers are snobs, and treat everyone with distain, believing they are too good for the position they are currently in, and looking down there nose at the very patrons of their business. The great patrons are not always great tippers, nor are the terrible patrons always the worst tippers. But what restaurant in this day and age can afford to turn any patron away? These are just one persons observations in and I've been on the serving and patron side of the table...
