For Xmas he gave me a LOOSE 2.23 carat G VVs1 ELG Certified round brilliant ideal cut diamond ... no ring yet though ... does this count? He didn't want a diamond that is hiding imperfections with a prong ... and besides, this way I have a say in the type of setting it is placed in ... Ladies its your turn ... Show 'em off!!!!!!

Jan 18th 2007 1:18PM M ... CONGRATS ... maybe your engagement ring is a preview of what your wedding band will be like ... In certain instances, SIZE DOES MATTER ... but in this case M is right, QUALITY wins. I was not the one who decided on the following ring choices ... HE did! My engagement ring is a 2 carat Tiffany round brilliant diamond setting w/pear side stones. The Wedding band is a Tiffany Eternity 3.18 carat Ring (full circle of round brilliant diamonds) Both are Color G Clarity VS & set in 18k gold. (I don't like Platinum) Can you imagine how much more that would have cost him??? As far as the topic at hand ... Tattooing my Diamond ... NO WAY!!! To me, that would depreciate the value. The engraving inside my engagement ring's band reads Past, Present, Future. (& includes our initials) Also his choice. Yes they have been appraised, Yes they are insured and YES THEY ARE REAL. I am also proud to show off my rings. I never take them off (except to have them professionally cleaned) ... do I worry about getting robbed for them? ... hmmm ... I never actually thought about that ... should I also insure my hand?
