Celebrate Christopher Columbus {AOL Hot Searches}
Oct 11th 2010 7:42AM I think the operative word here is, "European history". And THAT my friends explains a whole lot. There has never been much of an attempt to offer an accurate or balanced view of history as taught it's taught in our schools. Hence the need for African American history month. Why isn't all American history just taught on equal footing? The intent is and always has been to portray Europeans as somehow more "legitimate" than others in the world. Of course, this is just my humble opinion.
Report: Lorenzen Wright Found Dead {Fanhouse NBA Blog}
Jul 29th 2010 7:28AM laurelmony, How'd you get there from here? What makes him a thug? Please tell us!? Did you read the part of the article that said he was scheduled to go to Atlanta.... with his kids in tow!? Even more telling is the fact that you choose to spew your venom under these unfortunate circumstances. Take out a loan.... buy some class. I feel sorry for you. Your bigotry makes your world so much smaller than it could be. My sincerest condolences to his family.
Jack Tatum Dies of Heart Attack {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Jul 27th 2010 4:51PM I'm sorry. This article was specifically about a football player who died. To people who enjoyed watching him play or whose team played against him it's news. It's very sportsmanlike for those who opposed him in some way to offer their tribute to a worthy opponent. I'm sure your posting here was a mistake and you really intended to comment on some other article you were reading.
Rush Limbaugh on George Steinbrenner: 'Cracker' Made Black Athletes Millionaires {Fanhouse MLB Blog}
Jul 14th 2010 9:42PM At first I was going to offer an opinion on this article. But then I read the comments. Apparently, what Mr. Limbaugh said has little bearing on the conversation. Just the mention of Al Sharpton and the teeth come out. It indicates that it's unlikely to engage in any intelligent exchange about the article. In that the majority of the posts I've read do nothing to support decency and decorum I will move on and leave this forum to the experts.
Testy GOP, Heckler Confront Obama on Immigration, Energy, Gay Rights {Politics Daily}
May 26th 2010 1:49PM I've never felt condescended to by someone who's perspective I understood. Maybe people who are entrenched in a particular mindset find it difficult to communicate with someone arguing a different point of view.

At long last you've expressed the source of your dissatisfaction.
Consumer Confidence Jumps for Third Straight Month {Politics Daily}
May 26th 2010 8:10AM I'm sorry to hear about your brother and your neighbor. But please explain how it's Obama's fault? You almost had my sympathy until you said, "Wal-Mart has reported a drop in sales." What's really amazing to me is that the people who shop at Wal-mart are not the ones Republicans are interested in representing. Trickle down economics didn't work under Reagan and it won't work now. It's really amazing that these are the people who support the Conservative agenda.

"Bogus bank bail outs, bogus auto industry bailout, unread health care bill rammed through, miserably failed stimulus bill, out of control borrowing, out of control spending, high unemployment, illegal immigrants, unsecured boarders, war on 3 fronts, unattainable and rising Nat deficit, unattainable and rising nat. dept,"_______
.... and that's just what was on his desk when he took office! Now we have an oil spill in the Gulf, sun spots, migrating Monarch butterflies, the moon disappearing every morning.......

May 26th 2010 7:30AM The introduction of Reagan-omics was the last time there was something that remotely resembled a good strategy from the Right was presented to the American people. Notwithstanding it was 30 yrs. ago, an old idea is better than no idea!
