On Eve of Jail, Shapiro Out as Lindsay Lohan's Lawyer {PopEater}
Jul 20th 2010 9:06AM Seriously?
She "resists" going to jail...as if that matters?
If Shapiro quit, she really needs a wake up call. Once you are sentenced, no lawyer can "help" you avoid jail, no matter how famous you are.
I truly was amazed by her talent in Georgia Rules...but there is no denying that her addictions, obsessions, and issues now vastly outweigh her promise.
Doctors: Using Cell Phone in Car as Bad as Drunk Driving {AOL Health}
Jun 13th 2010 1:16PM No dear...you can't sue their ass off.
But you might spend five years suing their insurance company to pay for you medical treatment. Not fun, I assure you.
For the "sue happy", or simply those who think that's possible, you can't sue someone who has hidden their assets. (Like put property in a relative's name?) It is NEVER worth it, I assure you.
So why don't you just hang up the damned phone?
Elena Kagan's Fashion Sense: Robin Givhan and the Nominee's Legs {Politics Daily}
May 26th 2010 7:18AM Fashion sense?
REALLY?
We are really wasting time grilling this woman's choice of clothing?
How is that in ANY way relevant?
If she gets appointed, she will never be seen again in anything but judicial robes, so HOW is this anything but a silly attack?
Of course, it also could be couched to make us all wonder at her sexual orientation. (her detractors have gone there already, so why not?)
So I guess the next time a male is considered for the SC, we should be adding his choice of ties into our breakdown of qualifications?
Notorious Reality TV 'Brat' Sues ABC for $100 Million {PopEater}
Mar 23rd 2010 9:47AM Oh PLEASE.
Perhaps the pampered princess should have understood that saying ridiculous shallow things in front of a camera has a penalty?
And my daughter managed to be "special ed", an honors student, and is now going to college on a scholarship.
Grow up little girl...you are not the bright and shining center of the known universe.
Dad Calls Police When Child Refuses to Go to School {ParentDish}
Jan 15th 2010 7:39AM Good grief.
Are people really that impotent, that they can't control a six year old?
For all the wailing I hear about society undermining "the family", what i see more of is an actual refusal to parent. More and more, people expect "someone else" to do the scut work. It seems like every day, some lulu ties up the 9-11 system with something stupid...but for a parent to abdicate their responsibility to this extent?
We need a reality check...big time.
Preemies, Health Care Reform and the Cost-Benefit Conundrum {Politics Daily}
Jan 3rd 2010 11:54AM I find it interesting that this article does not mention the health issues that low birth weight children will later have---and just how few will be "normal health" adults someday. We are willing to spend the money on these babies---to a point. After that, their parents are on their own, and if they can't afford the costly treatments for their child, must watch them die...at two, or three, or four.
I don't support rationing, but my daughter is now 18. If we lose our health insurance, and she needs a kidney, she will die. Why is she less important than a three pound infant with a slim chance of survival? My daughter was a five week preemie...but she weighed 6 pounds, and thirteen ounces. Her health has always been hearty, thank god...but I question the morality of "saving babies" at any cost...when we do nothing for adults, or allow insurance companies to let people die to reduce their payables.
Carrie Prejean Owns Up to Solo Sex Tape: 'Never Did I Think It Would Come Out' {PopEater}
Nov 10th 2009 9:03AM Excuse me...but she did JUDGE others...in public.
It amazes me how often the "let those without sin cast the first stone" is employed by those who had the arrogance to toss their stones first.
Pompous, self serving phony...now caught in her own special 15 minutes of fame!

Nov 10th 2009 7:45AM Can you say "hypocrite"?
This woman set my teeth on edge from day one...and now there are apparently TWO sets of rules...one for the rest of the world, and one for her.
Bad judgment? No lady...just bad news. Maybe it will be a touch more difficult to find supporters when they find out you aren't all THAT high and mighty?
Leaving Verizon Wireless to get more expensive Nov. 15 {WalletPop}
Nov 5th 2009 5:15PM I finally added a cell phone to my life when my daughter and i were stuck with a flat on a back road.
But I buy and use prepaid...MUCH cheaper.
I tried two of the cell providers---and never saw a single bill under 90 bucks a month...for a whopping 4 phone calls...none of them out of area.
The plans were supposed to be $29.95. But they added so many fees and surchages, that the bill was ALWAYS 90.
My daughter and i use Net 10...about 40 bucks a month for BOTH phones...no extra charges.
Contracts are nonsense.
Rihanna Tells Diane Sawyer: I'm 'Embarrassed' I Loved Chris Brown {PopEater}
Nov 5th 2009 8:09AM I just read that comment...and I pity the woman who posted it for her low self esteem. Let's hope she doesn't have daughters, who will grow up thinking its ok for a man to beat you.
