Courtney Love Sued Over Borrowed Jewelry {PopEater}

Nov 24th 2010 7:49AM Anyone who would lend Courtney Love anything, needs to have his head examined. That doped-up woman cannot even tell the time of day, much less where anything was. What were you thinking? The key word here is thinking. What is the next thing you are going to do, lend your car to Lindsay Lohan?

Jerry Lewis on Lindsay Lohan: 'I Would Smack Her in the Mouth!' (VIDEO) {AOL TV}

Sep 3rd 2010 11:34AM I really like Jerry Lewis and all the charitable work he has done, but I must draw the line here. I do not believe hitting a child is the best way to have a behavior modification. All you are teaching them is using violence as a problem solver. I believe there are better ways than hitting them to get through a child. Paying attention to them would be a good start.

Mom Turns Library Scofflaw to Prevent Kids from Reading 'Gossip Girl' Series {ParentDish}

May 10th 2010 9:08AM If the mother borrowed library books and refuses to return them, she has in effect become a thief. She has stolen library books. What kind of example is that for her daughter? I would think teaching your daughter it is all right to steal is much more destructive than what could be found in any of those books.

Does Your Cheating Spouse Deserve a Second Chance? 5 Questions to Consider {Personal Articles}

Apr 2nd 2010 8:51PM Infidelity is not just a one-time event, it shows lack of honor, so it goes much deeper than just a fling. Honor is not something you can put on or take off like a coat. You either have it or you don't, and if you do not posses it by the time you are an adult, you never will. There are some things that there are no second chances, and infidelity is one of them because it shows a character defect.

BREAKING: Three Tesla employees die in Palo Alto plane crash *UPDATE {Autoblog}

Feb 17th 2010 4:00PM There seems to be a lot of speculation about the wisdom of the pilot taking off with ¼ mile visibility without us having the facts. First of all we don’t know the background or training of the pilot. Professional pilots are routinely trained and tested on taking off with zero visibility conditions. Of course with a zero visibility take off the runway must have certain lighting that Palo Alto does not have, but ¼ mile visibility takeoff for a pilot who has been trained would pose no problem I have done it many times. The other issue is the type of aircraft. We are led to believe it was a twin-engine aircraft. Different twin-engine airplanes have different performance capabilities if an engine were to fail. Power lines ring Palo Alto airport only on the bay side. The standard take off procedure would be to fly straight ahead to about 500 feet above the airport, then make a turn either left or right. If that were accomplished there would have been no impact with the power lines. I suspect the aircraft might have experienced a right engine failure, and the airplane would have had a tendency to turn to the right with the performance severely reduced which would cause the airplane to hit a power line. Again this is speculation and we will have to wait for the FAA and the NTSB to conduct their investigation. This is truly a tragedy.

'I Was a Mail-Order Bride' {Lemondrop}

Aug 12th 2009 9:43PM Actually, there is a twist to this mail-order bride thing. A few women from Russia participate in this mail-order bride program with the intention of not being married for very long. They are primarily interested in getting out of Russia, would like American citizenship and eventually would like to be able to work here. They will sign a contract with the groom to be to be married for a specific amount of time, often 7 years, and then at the end of that period, they will get a divorce. Of course at the end of the contract, they can negotiate to extend it, but if not, the woman has American citizenship, she knows the language and if she has a professional license it has been transferred over to an American License. Many of these women are professionals, such as teachers, pharmacists, etc. So it is a distinct advantage for the woman. The advantage for the man, he can get a new young wife every couple of years. I guess you would call this lease-a-wife. We lease cars, equipment, apartments and other things, why not a wife?
