Tenants: Stench of Death Makes St. Louis Complex 'Unlivable' {AOL Real Estate}

May 17th 2013 3:59PM I agree. The neighbors bare some responsibility to me. How can someone be dead for two weeks and no one notices? The smell was probably there and the flies way before 2 weeks time.

Feb 11th 2013 3:36PM Or simply don't frivolously tear down what has nothing wrong with it exceptyou don't want the place you want the land to expand? Not like there is more room needed, just seeing whether you can make it bigger.

Feb 11th 2013 3:34PM Really sad in my opinion, these places have nothing wrong with them, or need a little cosmetic repair, they have history in them and someone simply wants to buy the land really and make their place bigger and better, sometimes simply to be able to charge the next person for the expansion they did, can't be because what they saw could not be altered by less drastic measures like tearing it totally down and building a newer and better place where the other once stood and held history.

Feb 11th 2013 3:31PM I agree, what makes people who have money see nothing wrong with something and then tear it down and build something else? So instead of seeing what you and I believe as a gorgeous palatial dwelling as something that could be made bigger and better? There are all kinds of ways for those who have to simply waste money because they have it, let's hope that in the power and capriciousnes of their game to build bigger and better they keep in mind that if there is a hereafter, they can make no changes in anything they have done down here on earth. Guess that is the only conselation for the ordinary who simply need a home, something small and intimate, safe and warm and liveable.

5 Pointz Graf Mecca's Demolition Plans On Hold {theBVX.com}

Apr 4th 2011 7:53AM Keep it up! Folks, particularly the Young need to know that art does not have to be by a famous dead person. Art does not have to sit behind a barrier where people are trying to pretend they know what the artist meant when he or she painted it. Art is anything that moves you, tells a story you are compelled to want to see. Graffiti has gone from the NYC Subway trains were many loosed their lives trying to tag the steel monolith. Now, Graffiti is recognized officially by many as an art form. Let it be! NYC is becoming a mecca for the wealthy with condos and Starbucks going up all over the place. Harlem is not even Harlem anymore. Let something of intrinsic value stand and not have to be valued by what it ultimately is made to become for $.

40 Influential Black Female Authors {BV on Books}

Apr 3rd 2011 8:37AM Obviously, this is what happens when first the lines are blurred, secondly, knowledge is limited and thirdly, all end up being posted on the internet. We do not consider those genres of Black Literature who write for the $ and not to be read ten, fifteen or more years from now. Can you honestly say that after reading some of these books you would pick any of them up again in the future to read again? Take the litmus test before deciding that if someone Black wrote it, it is literature and will endure.

My Daughter Is Sassy! What Should I Do? {ParentDish}

Mar 21st 2011 3:47PM Sadly, I do not think you are correct with this advice. I am a Substitute Teacher. I am almost 52 years old with appropriate education to teach and certified to do so. I do not want to protrude my credentials. I am also the only adult who is capable and given the authority to grant permission to leave the classroom. Do you know that I can not count how many times I have had the displeasure of having children under the age of this parent to high school speak to me as if I am some fool off the street? I am treated as if I came from some other planet and the outward use of cell phones, ipod and other illegal technology during class time because I have to them no authority or sense of an ant to know better. This parent has right to worry, maybe during an earlier time the ability to code switch and know who to sass and who not to sass was a given in common sense. Common sense does not exist anymore, particularly for this generation. Come to any school and see how many pants hang off the waist, down to the knees and how many inappropriate outfits females wear. When an adult kindly instructs them to pull up their pants or maybe don't show so much to the general public because a Lady does have the power to protect her mystery and hear the profanity, rolled in the sky eye response you will receive. Check it before the attitude reflect it, namely No home training. My opinion like the cost of 2 cents for gas now a days.

Cursive Handwriting Getting Erased as Schools Teach Typing Over Script {ParentDish}

Jan 24th 2011 10:50AM Seems like another essential part of what will be needed for them to at least know how to do. I doubt when asked to sign a contract, employment application, legal documents, etc. etc. they will be allowed to simply sign their name without using cursive. The signature you use for such documents are not a lesson in elementary writing, they want to make sure that you are the person who is signing and your signature denotes your exclusive method of writing. Even handwriting analysis know that you can not get away with how you personally write your name when using cursive. Why don't we just do away with the essentials all together, reading, writing, arithmetic. Oh, wait, we already have done so to our detriment and the country's. You reap what you sow.

Free-Agent Circus Stains LeBron's Image {Fanhouse - Kevin Blackistone}

Jul 8th 2010 5:23PM What do we expect when we care more about a basketball player than the condition of a natural resource. See if where ever he goes he actually comits more than a bit of skills to the community he plans to occupy. Hope he does not infiltrate my City New York. Let him take his attitude somewhere else, we have enough big heads and dead weight in the city.
