Victory Lane: Luxury community will feature on-site road course {Autoblog}

Dec 28th 2006 10:15AM I'd only move there if the houses were soundproofed, and the garages were big. Like 4 car size with 10+ foot ceilings. In fact I think that's the only way to make the community an "enthusiast's dream come true". It's nice to race when you want to race, and nice to be able to sleep when you want to sleep. Who wants to hear their neighbor tuning a carb at 2am? I know I've been that guy once or twice...

Otherwise, any trailer park with a dirt court yard could be had for less.

Dec 6th 2006 10:01PM John,

I was in Detroilet (ok, Auburn Hills) for 2 years too! And my last year was the same... Beyond the coincidence, maybe you could put in a good word for me (like $325k good) at DuPont??

Thanks in advance.

SHO Saturday, Part I: Enter the Taurus SHO {Autoblog}

Oct 28th 2006 2:41PM My mom had a '93 when I was 14 or 15. My brother and I knew what was under the hood, while moms did not. One day we convinced her to stop (on a vacant road) and put the gas to the floor. She did and hit the back of her head on the head rest! Very funny! Of course she then vowed that we would never drive it...

A couple years ago I bought a '99 SHO and liked it alot. The only problem I had with the V8 version was the 235hp could only be found above 4k rpm on the highway. But boy all of it showed up in an instant. I traded it in before the cams broke free from their sprokets and destroyed the engine. Evidence of this can be found at v8sho.com.

Excellent car, I wish Ford would come out with a SHO version of the Fusion.

Sep 6th 2006 10:57AM I've got an 02 LS V8 too. While a manual trans would be nice, you can always play pretend with the "manual mode". One of the areas where they went for luxury instead of performance. Regardless, the auto gets the job done and performs well for me. Same can be said for the entire car. I like it so much that my next ride will be this years LS.
