Rare Comic Book Sale Puts Superman Back On Top {Luxist}
Feb 23rd 2010 12:18PM I don't care how he spends his money, this kind of purchase is an investment.
I think he overpaid by about 40% but hey the market bares
To the guy who complained about the "waste"
1) This is nothing to do about comic collecting, this is finance, its an investment, like with any other work of art. Your lack of appreciation for the work does not devalue the piece. The seller is clearly looking long game, and if the collectables market rebounds, he may be looking at a 10-15% gain on his investment, while having a pretty cool piece for 2 years.
2) between you and me, any guy who has 1Mil to buy a piece like this, probably has he hand in several charities and has donate plenty of money over the years.
I think its Nic Cage, he sold all his vintage comics a few years ago - now he's having sellers remorse.
Goode and the Muslims {AOL Elections Blog}
Dec 21st 2006 4:03PM How can anyone be surprised that a Muslim would want to swear an Oath on his scriptures? I wouldn't want someone to swear an oath on something that he did not believe in.
As for Goode, the man. Well he is fearmongering short sighted idiot.
We are a nation of inclusion, we accept and adapt to all changes to serve the greater good. This mistaken notion that we a Christian Nation has to go. We are a nation of mostly Christians, that is true, and we are a Republic, so our Laws and Standards reflect that. but Hate is not a Christian value. These sort of comments is the sort of retorhic that the FBI investigates from KKK and other hate groups.
Gov't should reflect the people, we are about 1% Muslim, so Congress will probably reflect that in the coming years with 4 or 5 more Congressmen of Islamic faith
