Years of Watching MMA Helped Heroic Joe Lozito Help End Murder Manhunt {MMA Fighting}

Feb 17th 2011 10:21AM Men sometimes think being "mean" is the same as being "tough". It's not. This guy is not mean, but he is tough. Not just for tackling the guy. But for the everday responsibility he lives up to as a father. When my dad had to close his business, and my little brother and sister were signing up for baseball (and softball) my dad asked a neighbor for work. Dad set up the folding chairs at a funeral home for $10 for each service. I thought (at the time) that was beneath him. But he wanted the kids to have their league registration fees. "He said, 'What do I care? It's for my kids. Ten dollars is ten dollars.'" And yes, my dad would tackle a bad guy or pull someone from a burning building (because he's done both). But this is about Joe Lozito; thanks for being a good father and a good man, like my dad.

'Magnum P.I.' Cast: Where Are They Now? {AOL TV}

Dec 12th 2010 2:39AM I thought the same thing: He returned to being a U.S. Navy officer so he could provide a stable life for his daughter?

8 Ways to Stop an Alien Invasion (in the Movies) {Moviefone Blog}

Nov 13th 2010 6:53PM Excuse me, but most of my family and some of my friends are human. You can't just lump every Earth person into the same category. Some of them happen to be very giving, compassionate people.

Nov 13th 2010 6:40PM I'm glad you said that. I always connected Rotten Tomatoes with the ... Killer Tomatoes in my mind.

Nov 13th 2010 6:38PM Nice job Todd.

I further suggest those in charge of Earth's defense (McDonald's, Walmart and Sony) print a copy of this list, since alien invaders will probably target our Internet providers before they land.

Asker or Guesser: Which Are You? {AOL Jobs}

Jun 7th 2010 3:34PM This. Article. Is. Amazing.

A real eye-opener for me. I'm a guesser. And a guy. And, I need to acknowledge, a bit of a wimp. But I can use this epiphany to improve some things in my life. Nice job, Lisa, and thanks for keeping it simple.

By the way, I act the same way not just at work (Can someone cover this last minute assignment tonight? Uh, yeah, I guess I'll do it.), but in my work. Sadly, I'm a reporter, so asking the hard questions (Did you hire your husband for this position because he was qualified or because he's your husband?) is really, really hard on me. I do it. But I don't enjoy it.

Maybe this can help.

Army to Court Martial Officer Who Doubts Obama Was Born in U.S. {Politics Daily}

Apr 14th 2010 10:12PM Army to Court Martial Officer Who Doubts Obama Was Born in U.S.

Oh, and I just noticed this headline. It makes it seem like the Lt.Col. will be punished for doubting Obama was born in the US. You can't punish someone for having "doubts" about something. He may be a soldier, but I he's allowed to think. Well, to a certain extent, anyhow.

The lead sentence is better.

A Taco Bell Manager's Guide to Drive-Thru Etiquette {Slashfood}

Dec 9th 2009 7:08AM My thanks to the Taco Bell manager for sharing these tips with the author; some good "secret" insider tips we probably should have known to begin with! If everyone read this, we could speed up the line 10 percent at least.
