May 3rd 2010 10:15AM As a business owner of www.mydisplaycase.com. We build custom glass and brass ship model display cases and ship them all over the US. The packing peanuts do the best job getting them there in one piece. I have tried others like the starch ones but once there compressed they lose there protection ability. The air pillows do don't have enought give in them and brake the glass. We reuse them from other companies and store that would noramally throw them away giving them a second life. Then we tell our customers to donate them to a small start up business that cant afford to buy them, and they get a third chance and so on. I have even had customers send them back to me and we reuse them to send them another display case!
I would love to find another product that would be better for the earth and land fills. If anyone is in the Rhode Islans area you can contack us and you can drop off your packing peanuts and we will reuse them for you.
