NewsFire goes free {TUAW.com}

NWW has this too, and could handle all 500 feeds that I threw at it. Newsfire on the other hand just hiccuped and crashed.
NewsFire goes free {TUAW.com}
Mar 1st 2008 11:06AM The reason he decided to make it free is because it is vastly inferior to NetNewsWire which is also free.
Newsfire might be good for those individuals that subscribe to a handful of feeds, but starts showing its weakness quickly as your feed count raises.
Plus…the support is garbage.
NWW is the way to go, avoid this steaming pile at all costs…free or not.

Oct 18th 2007 2:02PM This is absolutely not true of all the campuses. It is up to the campus to set their discretionary pricing.

Schiller on unlocked iPhones {TUAW.com}
Sep 25th 2007 2:10AM Bullshit. I would bet that they are contractually obligated to do what they can to prevent the unlocking of the phone, and have acted accordingly.
Is Apple the new Microsoft? {TUAW.com}
Sep 9th 2007 3:07AM Victor, your analogies are terrible.
Why did Apple drop the price? {TUAW.com}
Sep 7th 2007 10:14AM "Apple really does want the iPhone to be "more affordable," and a lower price is icing on an already sweet cake. A lower price doesn't mean desperation"
Ummm yes it does. That price drop is egregious, both in magnitude and in expeditiousness. You analytical abilities are planted firmly within Steve Jobs' ass.
"Except that if any other company dropped the price of a product after only a few months (ahem, Microsoft-- one of my Twitter buddies noted that no one raised hackles about the Zune's price drop), it'd be seen as a sign of big trouble."
That is because people expect that nonsense out of Microsoft, not out of Apple. Apple supposedly cares about their fanbase remember...or at least that is what you have been trying to convince us of all these years Mike.
You need to take a business or economics class. The market speaks for itself, and the words of the day are "sell sell sell". Will the stock go back up?...sure...eventually, maybe even sooner than later, but it is quite evident to anyone with half a brain that Apple wasn't as successful with the iPhone as they had anticipated. They would risk alienating their core base to try to get an iPod into the hands of every man, woman and child...how altruistic. Goodness you are so full of it.
Apple screwed you: So now what? {TUAW.com}
Sep 6th 2007 1:47AM The thing that people don't understand is...Apple has just now purposely devalued our products. It isn't so much that we "overpaid" for the product initially...but it is the fact that Apple, within a mere two months of the debut of the product, devalued our asset by 1/3. If I wanted to turn around and resell it, I would get but a fraction of what I might have 48 hours ago.
I understand the implications of a free market economy, and am not bitching about this on a legal standpoint. I do however think that this is ultimately irresponsible of Apple, and I think unless they have a plan to "right this wrong", they will lose a lot of respect amongst their most fervent supporters (the early adopters).

@Bart
My shirt took 8 months...he wouldn't ship any shirts for months on end. I certainly wasn't even the worst case scenario...except for those that NEVER got their shirts, many had to wait until AFTER their subscription ended before receiving their shirt...What say you?
Even when he couldn't fulfill the orders already made...he continued to take new orders...what say you?
At least some kind of response would have been nice saying...I received your email, I am working on it...yadda yadda...yet nothing was replied to at all...the emails were COMPLETELY IGNORED...they were stuck in Gruber purgatory...what say you?
I am thoroughly convinced that the reason Gruber won't open up his comments is because he will be outed on his very own website for his shyster business practices...what say you?
So many people have brushed off his thievery by stating he is a "one man shop"...but you tell me sir...what else but greed would force someone who is drowning, to pour more water over his head? As stated prior...if he couldn't cut it...he shouldn't have been taking more orders.
And shame on TUAW for enabling him to do so...but then again, you wouldn't want to get on the bad side of the Mac blogosphere. You guys are like scientologists...if you have the audacity to not support one of the church members, moreso cast aspersions towards one...you are ostracized and vitriol spewed about you.
Have some decency.
