Jamie Joseph Round Diamond Ring {Luxist}
Dec 1st 2006 2:17AM Just wanted to add something surprising I found at Amazon, it's a $300,000+ diamond!

I always wondered what was the maximum a person would spend on Amazon and have seen expensive jewelery before, but not this expensive. I guess people must be buying those online.
Now imagine 19 of those diamonds on a "Jamie Joseph Super-Duper-Deluxe" Diamond Ring. Would not that be something?

Dec 1st 2006 2:07AM All you "rich-hating" people when are you going to realize that you are just big whiny whiners for no reason? Let me explain to you:
If you are working hard and make $90,000 a year, how much would you spend for your kid's gift? $128? You probably would! If you were making $900,000,000 why would not the same logic apply? Many of the rich people started with next to nothing, worked very hard and risked everything they had to achieve their dreams. For many of those, money was just a side-effect of their determination and success. Why should not they be able to buy expensive items? If only thing that was sold were cheapest, bare essentials, where would economy would be? These people pay highest taxes and contribute to global economy, they pay for the public services you enjoy, they pay for your social security they'll never need, I can go on and on.
And to those who say "give to needy", who are the biggest contributors to good causes? Rich people that's who!
By your standards no-one should buy anything above basic needs. Do you drive a 2006 Toyota Camry? Not a luxury car right? Well, buy a 1989 Honda Civic instead and give the rest to the needy. Do you buy your kid a $100+ Tickle-me Elmo? Get a $5 soft toy Elmo instead and give the rest to needy. By the same standard a person who makes $10k/year should think your kids are spoilt brats!
I just hope one day I will be as successful as some of those noble people who are a backbone of the society and create jobs for you, so that you, non risk takers have a food to put on a table.
And to those who think there are only a few successful people, there are MANY MORE who can afford expensive gifts then you think. Otherwise, why do you think Amazon would have this diamond to their inventory?:

Because there are plenty of people who can afford it.
Sorry, I just get really annoyed when someone is judging a person without giving it a thought.
