Among them are that he was the FIRST major Rock and Roll Star to perform Gospel Songs initially on TV (see Ed Sullivan Show "Peace in the Valley") and throughout his Concert appearances beginning in 1970 through 1977.
Elvis was a trendsetter in everything he wore and did...onstage and off.

Perhaps one day we can focus on REAL issues like God and helping one another across the street - across the Country - and across the Oceans.
I have watched Real Housewives, each one, every season for "distraction" purposes and there is nothing wrong with that. But, when the "distractions" trumph ones lives - time - endeavors then it is a lose lose situation.

His first name is Jeff and is last name is spelled wierd like schrombs or schrembs, or shrombs. Jan 29th 2010 12:34AM This is EXHIBIT # A of how the Democrats, Liberals, Anti-Christian, EXTREMISTs believe that they can treat and talk about African Americans in the United States of America. What is their penalty from the community? NOTHING.
The Democrats/Liberals keep getting elected and bigots like Matthews stays on the airways making millions of dollars annually.
Matthews is a HATER and a BIGOT and a RACIST and has been for years.
My GOD why do we reward those whose views are so...revolting?
I don't want to hear any "deflections" about Republicans or Conservatives because this is about Matthews and the party he supports/represents/propagandizes for.
What do you call a person who "says" they are for "equal rights" and/or for this Country to be "color blind" and yet ALWAYS is defining a person by their skin color? Matthews TRUE COLORS came out and they are NOT "white" but CANARY as in...YELLOW...as in COWARDLY!
If you think for a SECOND that he, or any other Democrat, is looking out for you and/or your children you have another thing coming. Right now they are plotting to give ILLEGAL ALIENS (15-30 MILLION OF THEM) PLUS their "family members" IMMUNITY and FULL CITIZENSHIP. Whose jobs will they be stealing? Whose College acceptances are they going to be VOIDING?
It is high time that American Citizens stood together with their CHRISTIAN VALUES and said...ENOUGH loud and clear!
ENOUGH of the bigots!
ENOUGH of those who appease us!
ENOUGH of those sell outs!
ENOUGH of those getting paid while giving us back crumbs!
ENOUGH.

If not, then WHY did he allow the Black Panthers to avoid prosecution when they were openly confronting/intimidating Voters?
