American Idol 'Do Review: Crystal Bowersox is Keeping the Dreads {Stylelist (Main)}
Mar 24th 2010 9:54PM First season on Idol, the rules were, this isn't about personality, looks, weight, etc. It is about Talent, how you sing, can you sing. Crystal can sing, she has talent, what does her dreadlocks or anything else have to do with her talent. I realize that what individuals like is different, but for this show, they set down the rules from day one, talent is all we are looking for. Crystal will win or it is fixed, Adam should have won, I wasn't a fan of Adam, but he was a showman with talent, who cares about is makeup or his sexuality. Talent, Talent, Talent.
McDonald's Sweet on the $1 Soda {Slashfood}
Mar 21st 2010 2:42PM I am all for business making profits. But to advertise a sugar based water drink that may or may not be full of caffeine toward overweight kids is just pushing the limits of responsible advertising. As some say, no one makes you buy this stuff, but when you leave a bowl of candy in the room with a 2 year old, and he/she eats all of it, no one made him do it. And this comes on the heels that Congress and President Obama believes we have an unhealthy and overweight population problem and we need the government to make sure we have Health Insurance? I am more for McDonalds selling sugar as a business than I am for the federal government competing with private business. Instead of getting into the health insurance, why don't the folks in Congress open a fresh fruit/vegable restaurant next door to McDonalds. Let's see who uses it. Oh, make the fruits free by making the Tax payer pay for them. Hmmm, great idea.
Celebrity 911: Should We Really Hear These Calls? {PopEater}
Mar 17th 2010 2:27PM The only 911 calls that should be released for TV are the stupid ones such as those shown on late night talk shows. They are personal and no harm, no deaths. Like I would like to order a large pizza with extra cheese, now that is funny. stupid, but funny.
What Movie(s) Have You Walked Out Of? {Cinematical}
Mar 5th 2010 1:49PM There are many movies that I should have walked out of, but across the board I consider movies as they are, movies. However, less than 15 minutes, probably less than 10 minutes into "Postcards From the Edge". I left.

Feb 21st 2010 5:21PM Eat less calories, exercise and (burn off) more calories than you take in. Exercise at least 20 minutes a day. Ask you doctor what your target heart rate is and then do that 20 minutes 3 times a week. Take one thousand mg of Omega 3 oil per day. Send me $39.95 and I will tell you more. Thank you.
McDonald's may be ready to end the beef over teen's McFest charity concerts {WalletPop}
Feb 5th 2010 5:25PM For those of you that agree that there might be an infringement, there legally isn't one. However I understand "McDonalds" initial reaction, but then they got out their billon dollar weapons and sued this girl over what? I haven't eaten at McDonalds for over 22 years. My son was about 8 or 9 years old when one of the McDonalds Managers stopped one of the highschool girls waiting on us from giving my son a piece of junk plastic toy with his meal because "McDonalds was not having a special for kids that week". I told the idiot, hey, I don't come to McDonalds, my sone does, he is your future, not me and you just bit off the hand that feeds you and we left. My son now has two children, my son, his wife, their two sons do not eat at McDonalds. Their fhird child is on the way. We have stopped many of our friends and their kids from eating at McDonalds. I am not arrogant enough to believe that my little group of about 1,000 peopl will put McDonalds out of business, but that is a few hundred thousand dollars that they do not make over a period of 20 plus years, and now they will lose more buisness because of this stupid war. When I was in the Military we were taught to "pick" our battles, don't fight a battle that you will probably lose and don't fight some battles that you know you will win. Win or Lose, McDonalds as lost again, but this time so has the Special Olympics. but on the bright side, I bet the Special Olympics makes out better. I work with a local Special Oympics organization, and we had never heard of this McClusky girl or McFest, but we have now, and we are going to use this against McDonalds. I have lots more to say, but no one wants to hear it and I do have limited space and time to post here. Have a nice day and don't buy McDonalds anyway. All fast foods are usally not good for you, but Subway is better nutrionally than McDonalds, Burger King Fish are good and last but not necessarily least, Wendy's Hamburgers aren't too bad across the board.
Secret tricks of restaurant menus: Why you may be enticed to spend more {WalletPop}
Jan 16th 2010 3:53PM I guess I am rather boring. I buy my pizza at Little Caesaers, cost 5 bucks, 6 with Mushrooms, that's it. I go to Red Lobster, my wife buys the same thing everytime, I buy the samething everytime, the only thing that changes is the price. If they are having a sale, then it is cheaper, if not then it is more. I tip 30 percent or more or nothing. If you don't serve me, you don't get tipped. I do not give my wait person a hardtime, I don't expect them to spend two hours talking to me, be nice, bring me what I order in a timely fashion, pretend like you are happy to see me, even if you are not. Your menu will not make me buy, I don't buy cars from sales people that "sale", just let me take the car for a test drive and to my mechanic, and if I want it, I will offer you a fair price based on blue book or some other figure. I know, this is a bit off topic, but it is about sales. I don't buy red cars because they are red, blue cars because my wife likes blue. So, fair price to me is what I pay, if I don't think the price is fair or the service sucks, I walk. Don't make me wait 45 minutes for a table, I am glad you are busy, good for you, but McDonalds is next door, bye.
The high price of reform: States eyeing legalized marijuana for tax revenue {WalletPop}
Jan 2nd 2010 9:24PM I am a Police officer and I belong to a group called Police Officers for the legalization of drugs. Actually it is decrimninalizing because of International laws and treaties, the U.S cannot make it legal, but can decriminalize it like Morphine and Vicodin. Let the medical people give it too you. Of course it isn't like we haven't violated International laws before, but the can't tax pot that you grow in your basement, that pisses them off.
