Jan 22nd 2011 7:10PM I happen to work for a tax service and let me tell you that it is a crime that someone can earn between $15-20 thousand dollars, file head of household (of course they are not married, they just call themselves married when it serves the purpose) have three dependants and walk out the door with a check for $8-9 thousand dollars. Where do you think that comes from? The people who actually work and pay taxes. If you really want to complain, that is what you should complain about. (btw......most of said persons actually are married but they have figured out that filing correctly will only get them a refund of a fraction of the above amounts)

May 25th 2010 11:01AM These may have been stunts but I have been there and triffic there is unbelievable....... wall to wall cars and turn signals are an option they choose not to buy on the cars. Just another day in Dubai..........can take 15 minutes or three hours to go 5 miles depending on time of day and traffic

May 13th 2010 12:52AM I fly frequently and most of the time fly NWA/Delta and honestly can't complain too much about any of the flights. I fly KLM for international and occasionally Emirates and QA. Last month I flew to Atl with reservations to AMS.....flight was cancelled and they rebooked us on a direct flight to Dubai that left only an hour later. We had 5 hour layover in Dubai and they moved us up to earlier flight.........almost could not get on because they had one too few meals and policy is must have meal for all passengers. Mind you this was a 40 min flight. We were allowed on and arrived 3 hours earlier then originally planned. 40 min flight was Qatar Air. Very good flights (all three) and excellent FAs. Don't like to fly but good flights make it easier!

Mar 6th 2010 10:30AM Barbara, if you are married and live with your husband you do not qualify as HOH because a married spouse is never a 'dependant' Spouses are exemptions but not dependants. In the year a child turns 17 they are no longer eligible for the child tax credit but if you qualify for EIC you receive EIC which is in most cases a greater benefit anyway.

Jan 28th 2010 6:19AM I was a Brownie scout in Kingsville Texas in the mid '50's and sold cookies then and was a scout leader for 7 years while my daughter was in Brownies and Juniors. I also served as cookie chairperson for nearly 20 years. Cookie sales were looked forward to by the girls and customers alike. I would have liked to see the girls earn more for their hard work then what they actually received monitarily. My daughter earned her Girl Scout Gold Award as a senior in high school. She also participated in a Wider Opportunity trip to Europe.........the girls worked hard and earned the money for the trip.

Aug 11th 2008 9:11AM first of all Abu Dhabi is part of the United Arab Emirates which is an independant country and NOT Iran or Iraq. the hotel itself is gorgeous and I toured it 3 years agoe..........not sure I would pay a million to stay there but was beautiful just the same

Nov 21st 2006 1:36PM Houston Int'l is one of the worst messes to get around in ever and they have four international flights that come in within 30 minutes.....long delays for getting luggage........even longer thru customs. Doha Qatar has no jetways at all......you land and climb down 48 steps to the ground and board a bus and ride a mile to immigration. When you leave Doha ride that bus to the plane and climb those 48 steps hauling your carryons and dealing with 300 other people boarding...fun fun fun. Amsterdam is the best I have seen, clean, shopping, casino, internet, you name it they have it.
