Nissan Leaf available in two well-equipped packages, SV and SL {Autoblog Green}

Apr 1st 2010 9:32AM Hello Nissan,

May I please have one without power windows, locks, nav, A/C or other "luxury" features.

I'd rather that energy go towards getting me to my destination...maybe further.

Mount Pleasant, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Mar 25th 2010 1:12PM Goodness! That's very expensive for a very ordinary looking, albeit quite fine, home.

Feb 9th 2010 11:42PM Oh my gosh! Please! A modern (albeit much more expensive) P1800ES.

Visually Challenged: Daimler encourages you to design your own Smart, results vary {Autoblog}

Jan 6th 2010 11:06AM Alright already! Enough with the tranny bashing. Yes, it sucks...and sucks bad...in auto mode. Driving the car in manual mode is much smoother (yes, still a little quirky) and you'll generally get better mileage that way too.

But, after 16K miles in mine, that transmission sucks.

Billy Joe Armstrong In Oakland, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Oct 6th 2009 2:27PM I like Green Day and I really like the Armstrong home. It's a model of restraint.

Nice.

Heber City, Utah, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Oct 3rd 2009 4:42PM Wow! Beautiful land.

I suspect buyers are more interested in what the property has to offer rather than the town. Never been there, but I bet it's small town USA. Nothing wrong with that.

That was kind of a low-blow.

Real Estate? Jaguar XF wagon reportedly back on for 2012 {Autoblog}

Oct 2nd 2009 10:36AM Nice smarmy article. Yes, the X-Type Wagon did not sell well in the US. But those who have them (me included) love them. My JagWag is reliable, handsome, utilitarian and I don't see myself at every intersection.

And to you silly Americans ( I am one too ), wagons are popular everywhere but the US. So, keep buying Tahoes and Yukons. You never know when the road will turn to yogurt.

REPORT: Larger VW E-Up! could come to the States {Autoblog Green}

Sep 22nd 2009 2:49PM This "too small for the US" mentality has got to stop. There are plenty of buyers for small cars in urban areas but there's not in rural areas. It's all a matter of effective marketing of the product. Don't try to sell to people who won't buy. Simple.

Maybe the mentality should be "to small for rural US but just fine for US cities".

2010 Dodge Caliber gets new interior, Europe gets new diesel {Autoblog}

Sep 1st 2009 11:26AM I was in Madrid recently and was shocked at the number of Calibers (Chryslers in general too) that I saw. Of course, they were all diesels.

REPORT: Lexus HS 250h in short supply; U.S. launch affected? {Autoblog Green}

Aug 25th 2009 6:06PM I sat in one today at a Lexus Dealer near my home. It's a nice car...certainly more interesting that a Camry Hybrid or an ES. They had two and the salesman was well aware that there would be shortages.
