Nov 25th 2010 4:28AM Unlike other pen manufacturers Montblanc produces its writing instruments in-house from A to Z. Even more, they develop their own tools. There is a lot of hand-work behind, especially when crafting the gold nib. So I can't agree with you that "Montblanc is more of a "brand" than an actual pen company".

I've recently tried the different nib width that are suggested with a Meisterstück pen and was impressed of how my writing changes depending on the nib!
