Nov 22nd 2010 1:13PM I am 62 years old and we have hung stockings for Santa to fill since I was born. My four brothers and sisters began hiding presents in the stocking as soon as we were big enough to take them down and put something in them. My parents even had a stocking and their stocking would be crammed full by Christmas morning. After I married and began having children the tradition continued. As soon as my children were big enough to take the stocking down and put presents in them the tradition was continued. My children are now grown and moved away but the stocking still hang. Last Christmas they were all home for Christmas and each had some little gifts to put in the stockings. This is all done in secret and on Christmas morning everyone will be oohing and aahing over what Santa put in the stockings.
