Angry Birds cases for Angry Birds addicts {TUAW.com}

Dec 8th 2010 5:49PM Am I the only person that thinks the cases we look nice without the "angry birds" and "gear4" type?

The copy they felt necessary to put on the back ruins the case IMHO.

A "Mac" is a special type of idiot detector. If the target replies "What is a Mac?" the device makes a note that it has found an idiot.

Aliens Vs Predator Classic 2000 now available via Steam {Big Download}

Jan 15th 2010 2:27PM So has the game been updated with compatibility for Windows 7 and Vista? I have seen a lot of older games on Steam that have had nothing done to them to allow them to work on newer operating systems.

Also, I assume this isn't rebuild like Serious Sam HD was correct? Same graphics as the orginal?

Review: Avatar {Cinematical}

Dec 11th 2009 2:33PM To summarize, the story is crap the the effects are neat. Gee, when have we heard that before?

"to teach a pointedly overstated lesson about the environment and militarization and profiteering that feels worth ignoring whether you disagree with it or empathize emphatically."

Which is pretty much what I expected from the early trailers and information about the movie.

Doubt I will even bother with it when it hits home video.

Next for Cameron: Two 'Avatar' Sequels and 'Fantastic Voyage' {Cinematical}

Dec 11th 2009 2:27PM I would go even farther than what Bungo said and predict after the initial giant opening weekend the movie will tank and be an earnings disappointment.

If Fox felt it was going to be a hit, the deal for sequels would be done already.

Review: 2010 Suzuki Kizashi GTS is up for the Challenge {Autoblog}

Dec 7th 2009 2:03PM I saw this car at the LA Auto Show and it seemed very nice. The problem is I also saw the 2011 Hyundai Sonata.

Of course I didn't get to drive either, but unless you absolutely need 4WD, I can't imagine anyone choosing this over the 2011 Sonata. The Sonata looked much nicer.

Review: Desperate Housewives - The Coffee Cup {AOL TV}

Nov 16th 2009 12:49PM Just a heads up... I was on the Universal Studios tour last week where they film DH. There was a wrecked two engine (prop) small plane on "Wisteria Lane" which you could see from the tram. Although we weren't allowed down the street because the guide said they were filming DH.

Looks like a plane wreck is coming to the show.

Valve: Left 4 Dead 2's pre-orders are four times that of original {Big Download}

Nov 6th 2009 1:37PM I would also like to add, the premise that the protest had no effect pre-orders because they are 4 times the original is silly. There is simply no logic to that statement.

Are you really saying Valve couldn't have possibly sold more pre-orders? Maybe if the situation had been handled differently, pre-orders would have been 5 or 6 times that of the original.

I actually don't think that the protesters had much effect on pre-orders, that is not my point. My point is that just because there are a lot of pre-orders doesn't mean there could not have been a lot more. With the information you have provided, there is simply no way to tell.

Nov 6th 2009 1:20PM OK, I see like many other media outlets you largely miss the point of the people that were upset with how L4D2 was handled.

When L4D shipped, one of the few criticisms with the game was that there really wasn't much to it. In an attempt to overcome this criticism Gabe Newell/Valve told anyone that would listen, that they were going to add a lot more content to the game. Because of Valve's past history of doing the same thing with previous games, many people took them at their word.

The only real question here comes down to, "Did Valve deliver on their promise?' Personally, I feel they haven't. Sure, some extra content has been delivered (no doubt some of which came about because the uproar). And they may indeed delivery more in the future. The problem is that they now have split the market for online play. Many will switch to L4D2 and the L4D community will shrink making games/players harder to come by.

Most people don't have a problem with how Valve is handling L4D2. I don't think that is unreasonable. However, I also don't believe it is unreasonable for a person to believe Valve has not delivered on what they, themselves promised.

After playing the demo, it also reinforces by belief that the game is not even close to being a new game. The new melee weapons add little or nothing to the game play and the other new weapons are rather dull. Regardless of the controversy, this is a $19.95 game/upgrade at best.

Left 4 Dead 2 demo now available to all PC users {Big Download}

Nov 4th 2009 1:57PM Agreed. There is nothing in this demo that would get me to buy the game if it is priced above $25.
