May 7th 2009 10:40PM I sold upper end retail before, I had a customer who had a 'real' Birkin which she treated abominably - it was stuffed full of business items, make up kits, the works. I think she even had a pair of shoes in there. It looked like a swollen tic.
I have never had any interest in a handbag the price of a small car, but I certainly wouldn't have treated it like a backpack.

I guess the concept of actually reading the books, or having good books regardless of their looks is a stupid concept.
This has to be one of the dumbest entries I've ever read.
My entire library is sorted by (as unfashionable as this might sound) the Dewey Decimal System. By COLOR? That's perfectly logical, trying to remember the color of the spine? Where is that book on Kepler? Oh, I think it's *brown*...

Sep 28th 2008 8:14PM Why a hotel advertisement is better than a prescription pen is beyond me. Hotels put out those cheap pens hoping people take them, so it's not exactly stealing.
If you want a swanky pen but don't have the dollars, you can find nice looking pens at the office supply store for a fraction of the price until you can afford the Waterman or higher brands.
If you want a nice pen, how about dropping hints for the holidays.....pens make easy gifts for people who are otherwise hard to shop for....
