It certainly is a nice plane, but it is no more controlled by an Ipad than my coonhound is.
I am a pilot and a former military avionics technician. Ipads do not fly aircraft.
First off it does not have an interface other than a docking connector and while there is the capability of building a compatible docking connection into the aircraft, there would also have to be a computer between the Ipad and all of the flight controls.
That compuuter would be the one actually flying the aircraft. The most an Ipad could do is issue commands to the aircraft controlling computer that would be translated into real control inputs.
What an Ipad is used for in aviation varies but they do have apps that store sectional charts (maps), approach plates for instrument pilots, moving maps and weather information if you have the properly configured Ipad.

Aug 11th 2010 6:28PM You can not compare dropping an atomic bomb on Japan to what Muslims did on 911, save for the effect it had on victims , relatives, and fellow countrymen. The rationale was completely different.
While dropping the bomb was barbaric, it was also done because we needed to end a war with a nation that attacked us without provocation and vowed to fight us to the last Japanese citizen. We tried to get Japan to surrender because we had defeated them in all of the Pacific theatre. All that was left was to get them to lay down their weapons.
They refused and prepared to fight any Amrerican invasion force to the last man. The carnage that would havve followed on bith sides would have been triple the casualties of Hoiroshima and Nagasaki combined.
Shortly before the US dropped two atomic bombs on Japan, the United Stated showered the Japanese cities of Nagasaki, Hiroshima, and 33 other potential targets with over 5 million leaflets warning civilians of the impending attack in Japanese.
Now let's look at the Muslims. They hijacked 4 aircraft and without provocation used those aircraft as weapons against the US without warnings, and without mercy they killed over 3000 UNITED STATES CITIZENS.
This act is unforgivable and whether other Muslims like it or not, it was done in the name of their religion. As I said earlier, if Muslims want to prove they do not hate Americans and the West, then why do they not take up arms against the terrorists?
I'll tell you why. They don't want to. These are their brothers.
Countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Yemen and Somolia, and want to see America destroyed. What do they all have in common? MUSLIMS!
So there you have it. An entire region of Muslim nations clearly want the demise of America, and anyone that aligns with the religion of those nations is on their side.
All of you people in America that are Muslims are enemies of my country no matter where you were born.
What they do in their mosques is gather money that funds terrorism and conspire against America.
They are less than human.

Put some actions behind your words. I can tell you this. What if some Americans like the KKK or Skinheads were running all over the world in the same kind of numbers your Islamic scum dog friends are doing and they were bombing people, killing and torturing people, cutting off heads on video tape, flying planes into bulidings? Do you think we as Americans would offer any defense of them? Hell no! We would take their asses out!

Aug 11th 2010 3:59PM Back in 1996 I found an AOL chat room called The Koran. Out of curiosity I entered the chat room and quietly observed. Nearly every comment was anti American and had violent threats and comments being made.
This was well before 9/11 and the emergence of the terrorist organizations we are dealing with today.
Personally, I am an athiest and think all religion is a bunch of misguided bunk. That being said, I have tolerance for their existence as long as they leave me be and not try to impose on how I live my life.
Muslims however make no bones about how they feel towards Western civilization. Of course what the hell do they know about civilization? They hate their own women, stone people for breaking Muslim law, brainwash their children. Basically they are barbarians that deserve to be treated for what they are.
If you Muslims that have chimed in here about how you are not all terrorists, well maybe you personally are not but your so called religion is all about it. Get it through your jihadist skulls. The overwhelming majority of peace loving Americans do not want your scum asses in our country. If you were born here and choose to be a part of this cult why the hell don't you just move to Afghanistan? I'm sure it's a nice place. How about Iran? Maybe you can live a free and open life there huh?
