Dr. Frank Ryan, Celebrity Plastic Surgeon, Dies In Malibu Car Crash {Luxist}

Aug 20th 2010 4:11PM If you look at our site, you will see that it's tabloid writing; social commentary on the happenings of the intriguing, yet sometimes perverse reality that we live in. We're in the business of providing an alternative, witty viewpoint to our readers, and, consequently, we do come off sometimes ( a lot of the time) sounding uncaring---and sometimes we are.

In the case, are my comments tacky, maybe. But ignorant, no. It's not that I do not know about Dr. Ryan's celebrated accomplishments, or acknowledge them; but the fact is, the piece isn't about Dr. Ryan's profession, it's about Heidi Montag's reaction to his death. Is it a tragedy that someone who helped so many lost his life, absolutely. We weren't desecrating his memory in any way. Just merely pointing out the broader social outlook of how vapid and truly ignorant our current society is; case and point, Heidi Montag.

Thanks for responding; if I illicit that kind of response, I know I'm doing my job.

Cheers--

Dr. Frank Ryan, Celebrity Plastic Surgeon, Dies In Malibu Car Crash {Luxist}

Aug 17th 2010 8:05PM A better place to be sure, Ms. Montag. No more sucking fat from celluliteless celebrities, no more peeling back faces of the famous. And no more of him having to be called the “angel” that changed your life, we hope you know that’s not a compliment.

Miami Fashion Week Swim 2011: True Religion, Mara Hoffman, Poko Pano - Runway Reviews {Stylelist (Main)}

Jul 20th 2010 5:02PM Instead of just creating tops and bottoms, Hoffman turned swimwear into an entire look, adding details like matching printed leggings, tote bags, and dresses to accompany her swimwear. Many of her looks were easily adaptable, making them perfectly appropriate for both the beach and the bar.

RSVIP: Parrish Museum Honors Beth DeWoody, a Latter Day "Peggy Guggenheim" {Luxist}

Jul 13th 2010 2:54PM Not only was high society in the house, it seemed like a mini Fashion Week; everywhere you looked there were designers like Donna Karen, Jackie Rodgers and Phillip Lim.
