Actually, the insurance companies are trying to get out of many differect exposures - we have a higher deductible for wind damage this year, and we didn't ask for it. Not so much as one shingle ever blew off my house - but...Not ever a claim for anything. They keep uppomg the premium though/

Jul 12th 2011 8:12AM I use a solution of rubbing alcohol and water in a spray bottle. Spray it around you and on your arms. If you see a fly, spray it on him as well. It works for a lot of other outdoor pests, too. I use about a 50-50 soulution.

Jul 7th 2011 5:04PM Would (or, could) anyone please tell me why it is newsworthy to tell people they need to clean their refrigerators in order to make sure they smell "fresh"? I am amazed at how little we know about the real important news - unless there is a spin involved. Yet, we now know everything there is to learn about cleaning our refrigerators. Priceless!

May 13th 2011 4:36PM OK - I get the ponytail and the bathing suit - but UGGS? OMG there is nothing even a bit odd about anyone wearing them. I think they are ugly - was given a pair as a gift, and do wear them because they are warm and look up to date. I am in my mid fifties, and would not consider them off limits at any age - they are not something you wear when trying to make any "sexy" statement - unless I am missing something...

May 7th 2011 6:26PM I dye my own hair - just about the same shade as my natural color, and very easy to do. I also make sure I get a good cut at least every six weeks. I top it off with any shampoo and conditioner on sale that is good for color treated hair. I spend a fraction of what many of my friends do - and my hair always looks great. I have never figured out what all the fuss is...It really does not take a genuis to color her own hair as long as she keeps it close to her natural shade. Try it - you will save a bundle.

Apr 24th 2011 1:15PM I have an idea - be the adult and tell your child that chores are a part of living in a nice family with a nice house. Then, expect them to do their chores. Period. And, make sure the adult has a consequence of importance to the child in order to assure the chores are done - or "else". Worked for me when I raised my child, and it works for her two children,
