Controversial 'Luxury Taxes' Passed in Sardinia {Luxist}

May 14th 2007 10:53AM How exactly is this going to have a negative effect for the "country"? Sardinia is not a country - it's only a part of Italy!

Ghosn limits his duties in the Americas, Nissan makes production cuts at home {Autoblog}

Mar 16th 2007 10:11AM Hey #1 (amp), receive any job offers from any car company lately? You have the credibility of an online blog comment - absolutely none. Ghosn is well respected for his results, for good reasons. Do not question what you know nothing of.

Apple Gets Reprieve from EU Competition Commission? {TUAW.com}

Mar 15th 2007 5:05AM Norway is not bound by just any EU legal directive. The EEA agreement is limited in scope, and there are numerous exceptions that can be used to justify local legislation that differs from the EU. Also any legal recourse has to be done in Norway - because the EU has no jurisdiction over Norway. The EEA agreement is between EFTA and EU. Norway is a member of EFTA. The only court that can challenge Norwegian law and verdicts is the EFTA Court. The Court struggles to keep EFTA in line with the EEA - but not overall EU legislation in general.

Mar 12th 2007 5:35AM #16 Please check out this reliability rating from the UK. Your hateful remarks about French cars are misleading and untrue. But perhaps you only know the old French cars once sold in the US? In Europe French cars are known to be quite good.

Mar 9th 2007 4:32PM Are sure Luca di Montezemolo is a potential future president, not a potential Prime Minister of Italy? Seems odd seeing as how the presidency in Italy is largely ceremonial.

Mar 8th 2007 9:04PM #12 - Nimrod, you are the one in the dark here. Samsung has already made a laptop with this tech in it - Bloomberg did not have to "dream" it up:

Mar 7th 2007 5:48PM Rodion, I was only protesting your use of the EU as synonymous with Europe. Moscow is different from most European cities as you may well know, but Russia is only partly European. I dont think people call it a block any more, it certainly ceased to be when they all joined the EU (except for Russia). You may know your geography - but this was more of a geopolitical issue. No harm intended.

Mar 7th 2007 5:13PM Rodion, Europe has not merged to become the EU. Moscow and Russia is not a member of the EU. And secondly there are other reasons for liking small cars other than the large cities in Europe :) I for one live in a small village and love them too!

Geneva Motor Show: The new VW Phaeton {Autoblog}

Mar 7th 2007 5:11PM Oh, please, wettlaufer. What demographic problems? The hype in the US about our "problems"? France introduced tax programmes a few years ago and are doing extremely well thanks to it - population growth achieved. Then we added Eastern Europe to the EU - instant shift in demographics! And racism? You accuse us of problems with racism? Good one. You are of course refering to the French problems? The riots where illegal immigrants attacked? The non-French illegals? We have less historical racism than the US, we at least dont need Affirmative Action. The unemployment issue has to do with our excellent free schools/Unis and healthcare for all - we have a welfare society. And Germany has reduced unemployment for months now! They are still coping with absorbing Eastern Germany. Finally, our non-sovereign currency? You mean the Euro? As if US states govern the Dollar! And may I point out that Europe as a whole does not use the Euro.
