Jul 21st 2010 9:35AM ur right , close the shades / curtins on the east and west side of the house during the day . i use blankets to cover all door face openings i keep the den cool for the dogs during the day [ i live in texas ] i do not use a/c for myself as i grew up without it [ and even a fan as far as that goes ] but i use a fan now i do not stay in the den , i dont not want to get use to a a/c . i live on the farm and im 62 - go figure -
