Aug 19th 2009 2:39PM You know, Americans seem to have become a bunch of nasty haters who can't read ANY positive story without seeing it in a negative light. If someone helps animals, the responses are "Why can't they help people??" If someone helps children in Africa, all you read is, "What's wrong with American children??" And the list goes on. This story is about someone helping the unfortunate. Might not be your favorite actress, might not be your favorite charity (but I suspect you don't do diddly for anyone...), but so what? It's still a good deed.

Jul 5th 2008 10:20PM I remember when I got engaged and I saw the ring for the first time, I thought to myself, "Oh. It's small." (It was 1.5 karats) I really was disappointed, but of course I never let on. I put up with my disappointment for 10 years, then it was time to trade that puppy up! We can afford it, so why should I be stuck with a little diamond ring my whole life? I love my new rock!! And hubby is happy I'm happy!

Aug 5th 2007 10:53AM Except for the people with metabolic conditions, everyone else who is overweight is that way because they eat too much and/or exercise too little. That's it. Stop with the damn excuses and the "I only eat salads and fruits and drink water" routine. Uh, no you don't.
I was never one who could eat whatever I wanted and not gain weight. I have always had to watch my diet and haul my butt to the gym, like it or not. So no, I don't have sympathy for the "poor fat people" who don't want to work at it. Just yesterday I was at the movies and all the lardos were buying huge tubs of buttered popcorn, candy, nachos with cheese, and soft drinks. But I bet they're the same ones on here posting how they can't help being fat and how they never overeat.

Dec 29th 2006 7:34AM I'm laughing at the people who are horrified at the thought of spending $42 on brownies when they'd "rather feed the homeless" instead. Truth is, you aren't going to take $42 to feed the homeless, so get off your high horse, LOL. Why not just say you don't feel brownies are worth $42 (to you), while acknowledging that some people can buy $42 brownies AND feed the homeless? Also, do you live with just the basic necessities and nothing else? Or do you have a TV (could have given that money to the homeless...), a hairdryer (could have given that money to the homeless...), blah blah blah.
