Kirsten Dunst Gets Cozy With a Lion in Bulgari Mon Jasmin Noir Fragrance Commercial {Stylelist (Main)}

Apr 20th 2011 3:22PM Bulgari insists on this continued exploitation of wild animals, whether it be baby cubs or now grown adults, to promote their products. Despite 100's of letters asking them to stop inadvertently promoting the breeding of more and more exotics to use as "photo props," they persist. This is just another subtle form of animal abuse. There is NO place for all these grown exotics to go when they've outlived their usefulness. They live 20+ years in captivity and no amount of perfume ads is going to support a 500+ lb. carnivore that many years. It doesn't take much to figure out why the illegal trade in exotics is 2nd to guns/drugs. Bulgari MUST begin to exhibit corporate responsibility for the abuse they promote using exotic animals in their ads. It's unnecessary and it's cruelty - pure and simple!

Cartier Uses Baby Panther To Tempt Luxury Shoppers {Luxist}

Dec 15th 2010 7:45AM It's really a shame that a company of the caliber of Cartier would use a baby leopard in their newest marketing campaign. Though they may assure the cub is well treated on set, what happens when this cub's marketing shelf life expires, i.e. it grows up into a dangerous carnivore? Zoos won't take them, sanctuaries are overflowing. Entertainment exhibitors don't keep them for their 20+ year life, just too expensive. They end up sold off at auction to the highest bidder and become breeders, languish in backyards, sold off for parts and hides. Bottom line? These ads encourage rampant, irresponsible breeding. Will I buy Cartier? Not as long as they endorse animal abuse, even if it's subtle and little known.

Jay Leno Cuddles With a Tiger on 'The Tonight Show' (VIDEO) {Inside TV Blog}

Mar 14th 2010 2:42PM No, what her eyes were saying is "why would you participate in this Jay? I know you're more intelligent than this." Ask the question, where will this 10 week old end up when she does reach the 350 lbs. explained to you? In this "Year of the Tiger," why wouldn't you do more to help stop, rather than perpetuate, the abuse of big cat breeding mills using these animals purely for exhibition as a profit making enterprise? Shame on you Jay!
