EXCLUSIVE: Fine English Company Founder Benedict Wormald's Ten Essential Luxuries {Luxist}

Mar 12th 2010 5:56AM I breathed a sigh of hope when I read this. Mr Wormald you are a man after our own hearts. It is so refreshing to hear a former City man speak of the "aesthetic element", "traditional craftsmanship", "pared down restraint" and "bespoke British luxury". Are you involved with Walpole? If not, they would be delighted to hear from you I think. We are part of a programme they are running called 'Crafted' which provides mentors for young British luxury brands - we are handsewn bespoke shoemakers www.carreducker.com. Your vision is one that they share and it would sem perhaps a meeting of minds?

An appreciation for the aesthetic seems to have been sadly missing of late, but it is encouraging to hear that people are making more considered purchases. Our challenge is to reach them!
