Post Your Face: 'I Think My Nose is Too Fat...' {Stylelist}

May 6th 2010 9:18AM I think that if you want to do the nose, that is ok. But leave the rest of your face alone. You are a beautiful girl with fantastic features. Your eyes are simply wonderful. As said before, a little make-up goes a long way. You, my dear, are beautiful!

Sleep Underwater in the Maldives {Luxist}

Apr 27th 2010 9:15AM I think that this is an awesome idea. I thought about the privacy issue, too. But just to be under the ocean and sleep under the ocean gives me a since of freedom. What beauty!!! The place has operated as a restaurant for a while with no leaks, so it is probably safe. Some day would like to own a home under the ocean. My ultimate dream!

In Iowa Bookstore, Obama Doesn't Opt for Rove, Romney Works; Buys for Malia, Sasha {Politics Daily}

Mar 26th 2010 4:48PM Don't you see what ALL of Washington has done. With the Dems and Repubs, we are a divided nation once again in political civil war with one another. We must put parties aside and focus on the issues. Americans want health care reform. It is way past due. But, what exactly are we getting. I don't like being forced to do anything, and I don't like big government. The Dems are too far left and the Repubs are too far right. There has to be some middle ground somewhere. We need ALL of Washington to listen to the American people. After all, we pay their salaries. They are to represent US. There is so much hatred and anger and arogance from both sides that I feel that they are more concerned with which side is winning rather than what is really important - jobs, health care, economy, foreign affairs, war. We are in a mess and everyone in Washington is at fault. We can ping-pong all day long and for what purpose. Until we clean out Washington and restrengthen the constitution, we are like running on a treadmill. Going nowhere fast.

'Mad Men' Barbies Make Us Mad -- Mattel Shrinks Christina Hendricks {Lemondrop}

Mar 11th 2010 11:33PM I don't care that Barbie is thin. She wouldn't be Barbie if she wasn't. I am 52 years old. From the time that I was born to about age 40, I was thin. I could and would eat anything, and I always stayed thin. Then, when I turned 40, i had to start taking medication that in turn caused me to gain weight very rapidly. So rapidly that I didn't even know how to buy clothes for an overweight person-myself. It has been a very difficult haul for me. I was used to always being thin, respected, and admired. Now I am "obese", treated like I am stupid, and no longer admired. Inside is still the same person. When I am not in front of a mirror, in my mind I am still that thin person. But my point is that size does not define the person, but society on size does. I know what is was like when I was thin to have my curvey friends tease me because I liked to walk every day. I know what it is like to have people treat me adversely because of my obesity. I know I am a beautiful person either way. Would I prefer to be thin? Yes, because I could do so much more physically and, to my shame, because I want to be accepted. I think God allowed me to go through this so that I could understand both sides of the fence. Don't be mean to fat or even thin people. You never know what it's like until you've walked the path.
