Answers to BC questions from droods {WoW}

Oct 4th 2006 9:39AM Any answer on the extremely point-heavy Feral tree and the difficulty of producing a balanced bear/cat build with 20 points worth of new talents added in that tree, and between 16 and 19 points more or less required in the other two trees for any Feral build (Omen of Clarity, Natural Weapons, Shapeshifting, Furor) ?

"A direct attempt on the life of the world..." {Second Life Insider}

Oct 4th 2006 9:38AM It was another of Second Life’s oddly science-fictional moments: standing in the snow under a rain of talking death boxes. It put me in mind of that surreal moment early in Charlie Stross’ SINGULARITY SKY where millions of telephones rain down from the clouds.

Spy Shots: Corvette SS / Z06 R / Z07 / Stingray caught! {Autoblog}

Oct 4th 2006 9:01AM Here’s a philosophical question: does a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 necessitate a $30,000 premium? In small volumes, it’s safe to say that any Corvette idea will be received positively in the marketplace. But at the ground level, I’m still waiting to see how this thing will outdo the Z-06, unless dramatic weight reduction makes it a completely different driving experience. I think 505 horsepower in the Z-06 is quite nice; maybe 650 is even better. I’ll wait and see.

"Bloggers gone wild" ... yeah right. {The Jason Calacanis Weblog}

Oct 4th 2006 8:13AM Actually, given the frictionless web enabling anyone curious to dig deeper, I think this is great. A few folks (regular readers)latched on to the story when first published here. A few more folks learned of it through the attempts (by whomever)to squelch. Now, there is a whole new legion of WP readers who now know of the story, and those more curious will find their way back to the archives and be enlightened. In this case, so far, the publicity is good. Revel in it. Your rants on ethical behavior, or lack thereof, have been read by even more folks than usual.
