10-plus ways you can lose money by doing it yourself {WalletPop}

Apr 19th 2010 11:22AM My in-laws grow their own garden every year. They harvest the garden and jar everything! They even make thier own wine, which is absolutely delicious. They don't ever have to go shopping for vegetables. They have a 8x3 room that is full of the food that they have jarred. They have enough vegetables to last to the next summer. They have saved so much money by doing this and it is much healthier and nobody has to worry about pesticides. Making a garden may seem expensive and time consuming but it definitely pays off in the end. Really you only have to buy all of the tools you need for it 1 time and then you have them forever. There may even be places near you that rent out rotatillers.

Get the Best of Pests for Less? -- Savings Experiment {WalletPop}

Apr 15th 2010 3:01PM For ants you could also fill a squirt bottle with plain old cheap white vinegar, and squirt it anyplace you've seen ants (kitchen counters, windowsills, etc) and let it dry. It's non-toxic, won't harm anything, and the smell will go away in just a couple of minutes.

Also, for mice you could put steel wool or those metal scouring pads in the places mice are coming from. They will eat it and it will rip up the insides while they are digesting. I know if sounds cruel but it works. If you want to let mice go, get a bowl and coat it with butter and put a little food inside. Put a ramp on the outside so the mouse can get in. The butter make them slip and they won't be able to get out. Once you find them you can release them. If you know where they are coming in from outside plant some mint around the area. They have an adversion of mint.

I hope these help ^_^

The hands are cute but kind of creepy. lol

Lady Gaga Graffitis Hermès Birkin Bag With Message to Japanese Fans {Stylelist (Main)}

Apr 15th 2010 2:32PM I think it's a cute idea. I mean it's your bag. I used to write on my stuff all of the time to make it a little more personal to me. Granted I wouldn't spend a thousand dollars on a bag if I were going to mark it up but whatever. Kudos. It's nice to see that she is dressed some what normal too.

Meet the World's Best 5-Year-Old Baseball Player {Fanhouse Backporch}

Apr 15th 2010 2:13PM Not only would I like to see a helmet on the kid. I would also like the place to show him how to properly hold a bat, or better yet, get him a bat his size.

Meet the World's Best 5-Year-Old Baseball Player {Fanhouse Backporch}

Apr 15th 2010 2:12PM lmao I am 21 and I am scared to go into a batting cage without a helmet. They should definitely put a helmet on him considering he is eye level with the machine. I totally agree 100% with you. This place should be out of business. However, the parent's should be making sure he is wearing a helmet.
