Survey Says: Employees Spend Half Their Days Doing Nothing {AOL Small Business}
Mar 1st 2011 10:37PM I agree with your post wholeheartedly. However, as a fellow small business owner, I urge you: please take some time and learn how to SPELL!
It's "(her mother was not) DYING, not "dieing"...and the tense is "she stoppED", rather than "she stopS".
A great manager has to be accurate - ALWAYS.
Great post though! :)

Sarah Palin Does Not Sell Magazines {ParentDish}
Jan 24th 2010 8:10PM Whoa!...You have definitely NOT been paying attention!!! Former Gov. Palin has always been a champion of life issues....She merely ackowledged that she could understand for a moment (as anyone could UNDERSTAND) how a woman could THINK about ending the life of her child. and the various aspects of that decision). She chose life, in accordance with her values - and never looked back! :)
"The Rise of Wives" {AOL Jobs}
Jan 24th 2010 12:32AM The last paragraph states, "Now if we could just get the divorce rate down"....
This line amazed me...Does the author not UNDERSTAND that the underlying attitudes (I realize this is another whole discussion!) contained in the very situation he wrote about is CONTRIBUTING to THAT DIVORCE RATE?!?!?!?

Holiday jobs highlight underemployment crisis {Daily Finance}

I have to say, I worked retail for 17 years and in my experience, I would take a seasoned , older, applicant over a rookie teen. Especially the under-age. Every time a teen was hired, they didn't want to do the work, showed up late, and even quit without notice, as in, did not show up at all. They leave work at closing, stay out at all hours and come in tired, bored, and with an "I really don't care" attitude, not to mention talking on the phone to friends instead of waiting on customers. Most of them are there because their parents made them get a job. Now, I'm not saying teens shouldn't have jobs, just that they should work jobs more suitable, like mowing lawns, baby-sitting, stock work. They aren't yet ready for the more sophisticated, responsible jobs because they are teens and need run-a-bout years to have fun before all the serious, buckle- down, bills and responsibilty sets in for life. Let them be teens and give the higher paying jobs to people who need them. Teens are in training for adulthood and should not be paid the same as those supporting families and paying bills.
Reply....Kudos on an excellent post, Allears!!!! Your points are SO accurate.
Visa CEO sees debit cards charging forward {Daily Finance}
Oct 29th 2009 6:48PM I too am DEFINITELY paying off all CCs - as fast as possible, and am happier each and every day as I do that!
What a great feeling - My new hobby is paying off cards - and I've gotten many to a Zero Bal. since only March, 2009! Closed many that had annual fees, as well. YES, if my debit cards evr require fees, it'll be back to checking or CASH!
Kudos to you! :)
